Mahjong is a four player game. This solitaire game is not mahjong, it just uses the same tiles.

I just purchased Mahjong Solitaire and I have to say the graphics and controls are excellent. You can pan and zoom in on the board using common iphone gestures. That was a selling point for me as I don't like to squint when I'm playing a game.
The music isn't that great but you can turn it off and their is no reshuffle. Not a deal breaker.
There is video of the game being played on the developer's website (link from the iTunes page) so see for your self.

I'm looking for unbiased truthful real world reviews from those that have first hand experience with any of the Mahjong titles......I'm already stuck as to which title to purchase (by the way, offering a free limited demo version is a big plus in the app store).

I'm a little tight, but that's not my fault, it's the duck I have for a dad ;)

I just want a fantastically playable Mahjong game :)

Shangjai Mahjong seems very buggy. It quite often tells me there are no moves left when there are obvious moves left on the board. It also has a difficult time registering presses on tiles. If they fix the bugs, it might be fun.

I've also got Mahjong Solitaire which seems much less buggy and a lot more fun.

I have a roommate that is an addict of Kyodai's Mahjong so I've been looking for a good one for the iPhone for when we're together and bored (doc's waiting room, airport, etc.) Of course, I don't like missing out on some gaming on my iPhone, but I like sharing the good things in life.

In any case, this roundup was incredibly helpful. With the amount of duplicate games on the App Store, these roundups are very welcome.
