Guys, Flick Fishing is now live in the App Store. We added a bunch of new features that were requested, including Tournaments, seeing the fish as it is pulled from the water, plus a couple easter eggs as well. It will be available for $0.99 for a limited time. Enjoy!

yes, pretty valid on the feedback Brian. I can't reveal too much of what's in the game at the moment as that's NDA, but you can rest assured that the flashy graphics are backed up with proper gameplay and plenty of substance. You should be able to pick it up and play for a few minutes or sit down to some serious fishing and trying to catch a few of the ones that got away.

Well, even being Beta, I'd still make the comment about reeling the fish in as we don't know if that feature is final or not, so any feedback is good.

And I agree with what others have said on a complete package, how games so far excel in one area, but fall flat in others. Sure, this one has flashy dynamic graphics, but where's the substance and achievement to keep it from becoming repetitive and shallow.

Though, this is quite a different gaming platform and there's probably demand for simplistic fishing apps such as this. Example, look at Koi Pond, just fancy graphics and peaceful. This fishing app may have the same type of success for creating a rich graphical and peaceful experience that anyone can just jump in and play with little effort. Maybe as the market is saturated with these limited feature fishing games someone will take the genre one step further.

it does seem like lots of developers are putting time and effort into flashy technical aspects of games, accelerometer, and so on...and then not really giving the customer a complete package. Whether that be the whole reeling in dynamic, fighting the fish, tournaments, etc. Things we've come to expect from like 20 years of fishing games on so many platforms.

And then all these things are promised to come at a later time. A bit discouraging, this trend is. I've found that I'm really less and less willing to spend money on games lately for this very reason.

Flick Bowling is a prime example of this race to get things up on the App store, A$AP.

I don't like the fact of the "fish background" at the end, I hope they'll fix it.
Great game though

I'm not much for fishing games, but the graphics on this one are kinda awesome. I might buy it just for that.

This has pretty graphics but I don't see any tournament mode or progression to keep people playing for very long. It also has saltwater fish. iFishing is freshwater only. iFishing is more of a simulation and it will be more realistic in almost all aspects of fishing, from where the fish hide, how they fight, what lures they prefer and how certain types of fish school. I put all my years of fishing experience into iFishing and wasn't just out to make arcade game to make a quick buck on the app store.

At least these fishing games are all different.
