To those who say there is no strategy in this game I say that you're confusing complexity and strategy. Strategery has a great deal of nuance, and is one of the purest strategy games I have played in many years. In fact, I created a website and forum to explore just this: www.strategerystrategy.com

To those that say it's not worth $1, well you're entitled to that opinion but loudly stating this as fact is insulting to the developer that put their time and energy into making something for you to enjoy.

If you are looking for a game with any strategy this isn't it. Save your buck and spend it somewhere worthwhile. Actually, you can buy better time wasters than this for a dollar. It's just randomness with very little strategy. It's mostly about just having more territory than your opponent and wearing them down. Even the free version of Lux has more deep game play.

Stop being so demanding people, jesus...

Hell, even if you´d just enjoy the game for ten minutes, you would still get more pleasure out of this than you would from most commercial games. The developers have made a quality, polished, fast and fun game. While I agree that it is not deep, it is most definitely worth a single buck.

Engaging for a few minutes, but essentially just a bunch of dice-rolling matches wrapped in a vague territorial metagame.

Ironically, practically no real room for strategy (or even tactics) in the gameplay at all.

Feels to me like playing $.99 for a dressed-up version of Tic-Tac-Toe.

@some nerdy dork— Because we can't make games, we are consumers. duh.

@Blake Patterson & jecebn— It isn't that games aren't worth paying more than a buck for. It is that *this* game isn't worth a buck. I've had plenty of time to play it now and I've deleted it. The game sucks and is absolutely nothing like Risk. Calling this Risk-like is the same as calling tic-tac-toe chess-like. This game is simple and random to a degree that leaves me feeling the developer is either very young or very lazy.

again... why are you people complaining about a game that costs a dollar? you should not be an iphone or ipod touch owner if you're whining about an amount that you would normally not even notice spending daily.

honestly, instead of criticizing the developer/programmer about a game, WHY DON'T YOU MAKE ONE YOURSELF. ffs.
