The change also made keywords unaffected. Doing a search only looks at the title of apps now.

Now all these devs with lists of other apps in their descriptions don't work haha!

Maybe they don't show review text too early to discourage senseless "conversation" reviews?

I noticed the change in the review system yesterday evening while I was checking up on positioning of my game. I think the change hadn't propagated to all the iTunes servers, because it only showed once - today it shows consistently. What concerns me is how the App Store on the iPhone/iPod touch seems to handle the Reviews button now. Since my app falls under the auspices of "Not enough reviews for this version to show average", the button reads "No reviews" - even though it shows the reviews when you click through. In all it's a welcome change, though.

Great news - not just for games with identified bugs, but those which have addressed early shortcomings e.g. Fieldrunners 1.0 having no sound.

I very often delete LITE versions of apps off my iPhone when I am done "testing" them to see if I like them enough to buy the full version or not.
When I delete them off my iPhone I will rate them accordingly and honestly — and a high rating for a lite app can lead to sales of the full app.

oh so thats why they did it. for a while i didn't know what the point was, but i can understand the old bad reviews dragging it down.
