I'd really like to see iTunes v 9 integrate a built-in "lite" version. Instead of having to mess around with multiple versions of each popular title, the ability to download a "trial" "lite" "you name it" version would be integrated into one page in the iTS.

This would also make it much easier for people to try it, and then with the new micro-payments system, you could click a button in the game/program and update to the full version.

Wait...this is...starting to sound like an actual software platform that won't be a complete mess to navigate! Someone call David Pogue!

Cool looking game guys. Looks like just the kind of genre that I'd like. ..and nice to see it being released complete, rather than these beta builds that usually turn up. (I don't mind those when we're forewarned, but too often the devs just stay quiet on that front until people complain about a lack of features .."oh yeah, we're gonna add that soon.")

I already posted this elsewhere, but this game so much brings back Zeppelin from Synapse into my memory... somebody else remembers it as well? http://bit.ly/12ne28 ... and that's mainly the reason why i love blimp i think. :-)

Actually if a lite version is good enough, I will pay more.. but I suspect $2.99 would be the best price IMHO.

Hi everyone,

to make it clear, the word 'premium' we used in sense we have been spending a reasonable amount of time on development and that it'll come to App Store really polished. It has nothing to do with 'premium section in App Store'.

Thanks for all your comments.

I'm sick and tired of the word "premium" being bandied about. These game providers need to enroll in economics classes and study supply and demand.
If they think they can charge premium prices, go ahead. I'll be there to tell you that your premium game is not so premium. These people are like Pets.com. "Let's sell pet food over the internet! We'll make a killing!"

In my opinion, the market has determined that even $10 games don't do all that well. $.99 to $5.99 works just fine. I bought Trism, and I bought Castle Wolfenstein, and I have a lot of disposable income. I don't see the value in a $10 game on the iPhone. Until the gaming interface lends itself to much better gameplay, there's no point in lighting money on fire by paying big dollars for a game. To me, a blimp game with only 20 levels isn't worth $.99.

Frankly, I'd much rather put money into carts for PSP or DS platforms because then I can sell the game when it gets old. I can buy inexpensive used games.

Gaming on the iPhone has very little added value, and gaming companies think consumers will buy anything. Clearly, that's not the case.
