Like Barry says,
Zenonia's controls are not bad. Just put some time to it.
Although not perfect, I rarely have problems with it.

People over look that Gamevil did a great job of optimizing the d-pad for the iPhone. It's easily one of the best d-pad in the app store. To call it a cheap port is a bit harsh.

Once you get used to it, you'll see that the d-pad is one of the better solutions for this type of games. You don't want to be touching the screen covering close to half the screen with your finger, and that's while you're wondering if you touched the exact intended point or not. This method makes more sense with a stylus, but who uses a stylus for the iPhone?

Also when the game becomes hectic during boss fights or when swarms of enemies surround you, a fairly skilled d-pad user would better ease out of the situation, then having to frantically touch here and there covering up the screen.

Zenonia's controls really aren't bad. After 30 mins of play, you get used to them. In fact, despite not having a diagonal control I was happy to find that your character automacitally will walk around obstacles. So no need to hit down and right when walking into a wall.

Man Phaze sucks. I guess I'll just wait for Galactic Racer. I'm so glad I didn't bite on this game when it first came out.

Phaze is in the Wipeout genre. No one compared it to Wipeout. And i feel that it's decent on my 3G. I like Low Grav Racer (which is the same exact kind of game) but think that Phaze may be the better product. I just got the lite version and am sniping the full game.
