The video being posted seems to have a constant and promising frame rate running on iPhone 3GS. I'm downloading this game now and plan to try it on my iPod Touch 2nd gen. Plan to see the speed differences.

BTW is the frame rate in iPhone 3GS always as smooth and fluid for the game?

We are talking about a game that plays flawlessly on a PC with a 100Mhz processor and 32MB of RAM. The iPhone/iPod destroy those system specs.

This site if fullof a bunch of whiners. The game plays fine and I am already addicted. They have already said there will be 3.0 features so I expect a multiplayer feature with push challeges is in the near future.

Are people seriously complaining about quality? It's been stated in other articles that there will be "enhanced" graphics for the 3gS and it's to be expected with newer hardware out there. Not only that but ITS A PHONE/iPod, makes sense to compare graphis to a ps3 right? The graphics on my normal 3g run fine, there is no problem with zoom or controls.

It's a classic game and ported just fine. 5 bucks is well worth it.

After some more play I noticed I get framerate issues when zoomed all the way out.

I hate when you are about to fire a weapon the camera moves all the way back to you so you have to scroll all over again.

I think performance tweaks and a virtual D-Pad and 2 buttons will solve all of the major control issues since you really only need 2 buttons and a D-pad to play. Then you can keep swipes to just zoom and pan. I absolutely hate the jet pack controls.

I think it's pretty good... my biggest issue is also with the zoom - for close combat weapons and positioning issues you need to be able to get closer! Personally prefer the left/right controls to a d-pad, though have to be careful not to 'double-tap' to fast when trying to backflip. Great range of weapons, and a very faithful version I'd say. Just really needs the zoom! Also experience some lag/dodgy framerate, but nothing unbearable.
