It looks so great, it sounds so well, I can't await it. It seems to be something like a perfect update of Wild West Pinball (although WWPB seems to get it's own update--curious).

@Alan Carr: Accelerometer support is one of the WWPB's features. I was sceptical too at first but now I love it. I think it's not "shake as much as you like" but you have to "shake the right way" even in certain objectives (bank p.e.) for really high scores. Wild West is not an easy game if you want to get into highscore list. A real challenge even for hardcore pinball players. When you want to get a never-ending sense of achievement play slow-motion SmallBall Pinball.

A solution would be to have the options:

With accelerometer plus tilt
With accelerometer but without tilt (like default)
Without accelerometer at all (like the player in the Deep video ;)

And different score lists of course for all those options.

Name Withheld, after playing for about 15-20 minutes I had no trouble knowing exactly where the flippers were even while off-screen. I agree it takes getting used to, and maybe an option to lock the view would work, but the dynamic playing field really works well once you can visualize the position of the flippers internally.

The biggest problem with WWP were the poorly playtested designs of the side bumpers which meant that without copious tilting, the ball would often just fall down the alley again immediately and the ball would be lost.

The second biggest problem was that the game allowed copious (unlimited) tilting so that it took any chance of strategy away from tilting the gamefield. If you got the ball in certain objectives, just shake the phone as much as you like to rack up big points. This really killed the game for me.

I hope The Deep addresses these flaws.

I really wish they'd have a play option to set lock the view to the entire playfield. You just can't get serious playability if you can't see the flippers in relation to the ball.

Yeah, Gameprom, they're studs. I'd like to see them do other non-pinball related stuff, I bet it would turn out great.
