couldn't agree less. It's an established and well working mechanism. It's not a case that when a games offers everything from the start, often the customers complain about it (see cro-mag rally)

I hate when game companies of particular genres make you work through levels to get to the next. I think it's the developers idea of extending the life of the game by making you grind through the early levels. To an extent, it does make you work through the early levels but I'd much prefer the choice of how I want to progress. I'm in my mid-30s with kids and a job. I don't have time to grind through games any longer. I just want the various levels and let me play them at my leisure. The achievements are a great way to reward me and keep me playing rather than limiting access.

I agree with lord gek... I feel I haven't started "getting serious" with the game (just some games from time to time) and I already have the train level. Besides that, i like also the other levels: the freeweay has a structure that is refreshingly new for the flight-control-type games.

I don't have any issues with the pacing either. I think it's set just right so you have to actually work at unlockables so they aren't too easy.

The auto-save/resume is definitely coming in the next update.
A smaller update just went live with a newer version of OpenFeint (being able to logout of it, access it from in-game etc.,).

I agree the third level is the most interesting but had no problem having to work my way up to it. My gripe is that there is no "auto-save/resume" as was standard in both Sentinel games.
