Yet another example of the hypocrisy of the AppStore review process. They shut down the Commodore 64 App w/ the sweet touch interface, but this goes through?

I'd be REALLY surprised if they publish the source as per ScummVM license agreement. But at the same time, there's a good chance if you unrar that app you'll be able to drop in other ports, like with the Sonic the Hedgehog games.

You're new to SCUMM based games aren't you? They all had almost the same exact gameplay.

You could say that Monkey Island "almost the same exact gameplay" as Maniac Mansion, Zak McKracken, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure, since they preceded it and used SCUMM.

Ah, I *LOVED* this game when I was kid. I don't mind the old graphics, since most of the fun was in the jokes and the dialog. Plus the controls look great judging from the video.
I am gonna buy this right now :)

At least this has touch-to-select controls as opposed to the crappy drag the cursor around controls that Monkey Island has. I'm a huge fan of Monkey Island and own all the games on the PC, but not having touch controls made me skip it on the iPhone.

Interesting question: does this mean that iPhSoft has given back to the community any and all enhancements they may have made to the ScummVM software project, since it is under a GPL open source licence? The video looks to have a lot better interface than the last time I tried ScummVM on the iPhone. I hope it is in, and this would instantly cause me to jailbreak my iPhone again.
