I sooo agree. SGN has offered 0 support for my several queries, nor for any queries submitted by any of my F.A.S.T.-playing friends (See the Sgarrista Air Brigade social group here at Touch Arcade.) We're quite sick of it. I look forward to Ace Combat Xi.

I hope Ace Combat Xi provides some sort of social framework. Ideas given to SGN by our group, which we've also submitted to to Namco:

1. Have nationality and/or Clan ID attached to the pilot ID. It’s more fun to know which country/group your opponent is from, and to check the nationalities of the Top Pilots (it could look like an olympic scoreboard).

2. Enable online chat in the game itself, or in pre-game lobbies. This can allow players to challenge one another more easily.

3. An Ace Combat Xi forum for all users, with the option to create orders, or groups/squadrons/brigades (like our Sgarrista Air Brigade), and provide a way for those groups to form private forums for their own members.

4. From within the game, allow a way for a player to check for members of his Clan/Brigade who are online, and select them as desired opponents, or as team mates.

5. Allow a player to log in as himself from any iPod Touch/ iPhone. This way if you have to share your iPod with your brother/sister/son/wife/whatever, you can still log in as yourself and play. Also, if you get a new iPod, you can bring your player name and account with you. In F.A.S.T. the account is tied to a particular device, so upgrading to a new device means you lose your account.

I want this so badly .. Those first flight games of the Playstation era really got me hooked on this genre (and completely un-hooked from the hard core sim.) :)

Besides, any game featuring a plane reminiscent of the SR-71 Blackbird gets my vote. (That plane will always look damn cool.)

I doubt we'll see Gleipnir or fight Fenrir. Seems strange that they're pulling off the same story, i don't see how they'd work in one or two more superweapons, but i'm sure they'll pull it off somehow. I for one would like to see a new secret plane, but hopefully they still have Fenrir and the Falken.
