Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, but this is a pretty general topic and I am sure it applies to a lot of people on this forum since we tend to collect a lot of games... So from the Infinity Blade 2 post on the front Touch Arcade page today it seems like the main reason some apps have been crashing on load for me since iOS 5 (mostly my Music app, but several games including Plants vs. Zombies also take a few tries to load) is that I have several hundred games installed. I didn't think that just having them installed would cause problems, since I never open that many and I reboot fairly often. But apparently that is an issue, and it was never a problem before 5.0 for me on my iPod Touch. I had been searching for reasons why this was happening after the upgrade and I never saw anyone suggest that it was having a large number of apps/games installed. I have a lot of apps because I download free highly rated ones when they are listed on Appshopper and I put them in folders to test out later and see if I want to keep them. Obviously I am very far behind. I wouldn't mind removing them from my iPod to sync back later and check them out at a slower rate, but as far as I can tell that there's no way to organize apps in iTunes besides the few simple options that are included, such as by size, type, or name. When I go to modify a file's attributes through "Get Info" everything is blocked out, even the sorting options. I am sure that there are many other people here that have hundreds if not thousands of apps, so how do you keep track of them in iTunes? Is there some way to apply a filter to them, or to add manual descriptors? I'd like to be able to mark apps I haven't tested yet so I can sync a few to my iPod at a time to check out. Am I going to have to do it manually, such as saving them in a different folder on my hard drive? If it makes a difference, I am using the Windows version of iTunes. Thanks in advance.
