Ravensword was a waste of time only if your intent was to play an RPG. The game was designed to be an action/adventure game with RPG elements, a fact that was stated in the app description but was conveniently ignored by reviewers (just last week Slide to Play called it one of the ten best RPGs in the App Store in list that didn't include Crimson Gem Saga or Ash). Ravensword was, in fact, pretty much exactly the game that Crescent Moon wanted it to be (in other words, it never wanted to be Aralon). Aralon, on the other hand, was designed from the ground up as a hardcore Western RPG by Galoobeth Games.
Agreed. Ravensword wasn't much of an RPG when it came to levels, customisation etc, but I found it very fun and visually impressive. Besides, without it we wouldn't have Crescent Moon games as a serious player on the app store, and more importantly, we wouldn't be excited about an utterly stunning looking Aralon.
With retina display, they already have the art assets so all they have to do is add a bit of code that makes the game display at the proper resolution for 4g's. For iPads, they have to basically redo most of the game for it to work properly.
It's smaller than Morrowind or Oblivion. But to say that it's casual is to stretch the definition of casual game to the point of meaninglessness.
I understand this all too well lol I need to finish those games before this one comes out or I'll never go back to them haha
I own every rpg ever mentioned on TA, really. There's far too many I haven't began. But that's not gonna stop me from grabbing this the second, SECOND, it finds its way into the US AppStore.
