Gazelle is an online website, here in the US. I'm planning on selling my current iPad to them, and making up the difference when iPad 2 releases. Target (brick and mortar stores) will buy you old phone and electronics. There are reasons you would get more or less from them (cracked screen, etc.) In fact a month or two ago, I sold my first gen iPod touch there. I didn't expect a whole lot, 30 dollars....but got 48. They give it to you on a gift card. So those that don't expect a whole lot and want to upgrade, that's an option. Just use the card they give, to help pay for the new one...when you are ready to upgrade.
Mind you, that's one console upgrade in six years, as opposed to idevices, which pretty much require an upgrade every two years.
we are running out of aralon related topicks until release! as i see it, this tread is dieing a slow death! sad to say. unless josh gives us a new fix of sreens or vids or somthing to keep the subject relavent for this thread! can't imagen he would though (manipulation ability enabled)
"Pretty much". Virtually every game supports the last 2 devices, no? So is it necessary to upgrade every year? No.
This is somewhat off topic, but I just read an article about Apple turning AppleTv into a gaming console by connecting it up to the App Store and connecting some kind of controller to it. Just imagine... A 42 inch Aralon with a real controller. Just something nice to think about.
Galaxy on fire 2 would be rather hard to play, imagin having to get up and turn the 42" tv every time you had to make a turn! Speaking of accelerometer! Do you put it to use in aralon? Can't imagin how, but maybe you have a better imagination then i!
I don't think Aralon would look verry nice on a 42" TV... (because this game was made for iPhone/iPad size screens.)
I'm pretty sure It would be upscaled. Playing the iPhone games on a big screen tv would be cool at first, but then we would start seeing games exclusive for AppleTV. Now that I think about It, that kinda sucks. But I still like the thought of a big, upscaled Aralon.
