game looks great and all the graphics] but just to point some things that could be better in final because dev said hehe, details
I meant that I really love the look but the levels must be more ''full'' of things like for example this bush which you circeled. There must be more of them even if they do look the same. Otherwise the level could feel ''empty''. I do not like running over empty grounds. So the problem is to make the game engine able to show more of them simultaniously. The textures are already great, they do not need to be improved. But maybe it is the ground...There are not enough ups and downs... Or add even more little stones. Or flowers. A little hole in the ground . Maybe a campfire . I hope you understand it correct...This is already great ! But it is sth. I really miss in EVERY game . I do not know... I just wanted to say that. Oh sorry...We are talking about an Iphone game ^^ .
don't fret guys! this stuff is rough! Mark and I scrambled Sunday night to get some nice looking screens together from the area we are working on. I don't even think those are the right plants. This comes out in the fall - so imagine how much this will all change.
I'm sure they were trying to help. It's constructive criticism. Anyway, they could probably release it this week and graphically it would be more than good enough for me at this stage, to be honest.
If this game really delivers on all its promises, it could truly be the greatest portable western rpg (which in my humble opinion would make it the greatest mobile rpg period)... I just hope the story is at least alright; a really bland story could ruin the game for me. Can anyone report on how good the audio is? I loved the audio in Ravensword, even if someone's wife did play the goblins...
Well except for that from what I understand alot is still missing (noticed there are no enemys/other people on those screenshots) and that then the new version hasn't been tested yet, but otherwise they could maybe release it.
You could very well be right. I happen to art direct for a living and have little patience for the nitpicky approach to early criticism on a project. Circling things at this stage works more to demoralize a creative person than to provide usable feedback.
hmmm im kinda late getting into this one is there still any need for more beta testers? or help with anything?
question, i just read through thge artical on touch arcades main page again. i'm trying to decide what race and type to play through the first time with and i was thinking probably a human rogue. but anyway i read the artical again and reading about thew "pet" systen caught my attention. i'm assuming that only mages can charm npcs to be pets?
I can easily see myself forgoing buying a Nintendo 3DS and instead investing the money in an iDevice upgrade if the quality does indeed start being upped, as well as requirements. I think its interesting seeing how the different generations are creating a market not really seen before. Off topic but what exactly do you generally direct? (I vaguely remember you saying something about literature in one of the many general forum threads about RPGs). Just interested as someone trying to crack into the creative kind of world
