First, your description of the elf/rogue is accurate. Second, even warriors have dedicated skill trees, so melée combat was never just clicking attack and waiting. In fact, the combat system was one of the more sophisticated aspects of the beta build.
Yup,every class has their special magic skills that they can use, also their own weapons and equipment
It does vary from game to game what skills warriors can have, but from personal experience with quite a vast number of RPGs, fighter-type classes tend to have less to do during combat than others due to a multitude of factors (less active skills/more passive skills, less MP etc.) Still, I'll take your word on the melee combat, having secondary character for dedicated dual wielding combat might be fun . Also, is there any multiclassing aspect? Multiclassing always adds tons of depth to character customisation.
Agreed: warriors are usually the least fun; my point is that in this particular game they actually have a fair amount to do beyond basic sword swinging. I still prefer elf archers myself, though. I don't believe that there are multi-classes per se, but there's a fair amount of flexibility available on each class, so you could choose to mix things up a bit.
I would like to see this first person view too. In ravensword and in morrowind running looked quite bad. If you ran to the side your feeds still ran the same way then before. And please add a male and female option in character creation. I know many people often want to play a female hero, me including. Marius
I didn't play as a warrior much(who is the only one I believe can sport a shield) but I don't believe that shield bashing was an option
Actually, warriors can wield bigger weapons, wear heavier armor, and they have their own dedicated skill tree. As iVaro mentioned, I don't think they have shield bash, but there are plenty of other skills available.
Yeah; if I remember correctly, two hand combat is a passive skill; once you gain it you make other combat skills available in that particular branch of the tree.
yea that was a dumb question thought about it over the toilet >.< darn be awesome if there was a shield bash
i would probably play through for the first time as a human rogue, unless the mages are the only ones who can have "pets" fight for the them. then i would probably be a elf mage.
What kind of pets are there? Does wearing different equipmnt change your apperance? Is there a level cap? Please say there are multiple save slots
Only one pet,who has the ability to level up,however this is only manually done,by spending a skill point on the upgrade. Their is only one "fire elemental" pet. Not sure of any level cap(never reached that far) Equipment does change appearance and there are 5 save slots
