we will post a video when we feel we have something worthy of showing (its never good to show anything incomplete - people get pissy about that)
Yeah, imagine sneaking into someones house to rob them as they sleep or poison their food. It's probably a bit too much to expect but you can hope right.
yes there is a day/night cycle now as well as weather effects. the sky is dynamic and fades depending on the time of day - for example, there are stars out at night, and a sunset in the late afternoon. the morning is sort of a yellowish hazy color. we are going to attempt to do lighting in the city areas and towns for night time, so that the streetlights will be on and some of the windows in the houses will be glowing.
Oh that would be cool even if kept to a relatively simplistic level. Fable was great for the way npcs returned to their houses at night and that there was an increased guard presence. It could make breaking and entering a real challenge. Oh and sorry about the Oblivion mixup, reading skills obviously letting me down
To be honest, I don't think this game should be compared to any other console game. You don't want to be setting a bar of expectation too high for yourself (well, you may already have, but whatever).
From the screenshots and the pics it sounds like morrowinds sky, amazing can't wait. Just for those who never played elder scrolls 3 here's some pics for comparison. Aralon. Morrowind.
certainly its hard to compare this to another iPhone game, or portable game for that matter. So thats the only frame of reference I can think of. So when people say is it more like this or more like that, thats what I mean.
I looked through the thread and I can't find where you got that great screenshot. I'm curious because there may be more new screens of the game in that post or on that site.
It was posted a couple of pages back, I have to say the skybox is stunning though now I've seen it full-size.
Can you add antialiasing for 3GS+ ? (and btw when you brighten up the last screenshot, it looks nicer, or something with gray colors)
What about the dragon i remember that you could ride the dragon in the (previous) game ( or at least in the trailer).
Mark is working on the Dragon model. (and about 100 other things) I told him I really liked the look of the Dragons in Reign of Fire...
Awesome! But can you ride the dragon whenever you want or just in a ques (like riding a horse by ravensword)?
As far as I know, you ride the dragon on a very specific quest near the end of the game. It gives you something to look forward to at the end. The horses, however, can be ridden anywhere outside, once you have a horse deed. (unlike Ravensword's meadow area)
That's a good one, but my favorite is still the one from Dragonslayer. That thing scared the bejesus out of me when I was a kid
