I read Slashdot(/.) a lot and came across an article that interested me it referenced the following article. It's about a PR firm (mentioned in the article) that has interns posting positive 5-star ratings for the clients of said PR firm thus making the app appear better than it is. The reason I mention it here is because a) we're all avid iPhone app news followers and b) the story mentions the interns also have posted glowing testaments to these same apps on forums and message boards... From the article: "[PR firm] employs a small team of interns who are focused on managing online message boards, writing influential game reviews, and keeping a gauge on the online communities." a few of the games represented by this PR firm have been: HydroTilt XL BubbleHead Enigmo Toy Bot Diaries 3 Please don't think I'm accusing any members of TouchArcade specifically, however I wanted the community to be aware that this 'appears' to be happening and if you desire to read the article for yourself it is linked above. He's being specific about the people on toucharcade that could or could not be hired by these people.
