I thought this to be true as well but then I started setting new records this afternoon (beating my old locally stored lap times.) For me, it depends on the car and track combination.
cy@n, For the D-Pad, when you setup the handling, try to setup the D-Pad by moving your D-Pad to the left instead of right. The rotational camera should be used for the right D-Pad, it has the same functionality as a Forza game where you can rotate the camera with D-Pad. Hope that help.
Thank you for this idea! But then just the d-pad's left arrow moves the car right and the other arrows don't have any affect
Happy to report that the MFi Controller support is working! Direction control, both cameras, gas, gear shifts are all working. It is not full controller support yet, which means you still need to touch screen to select menu items. I can override the default "look back" view and map it to down shift after mapping the "look back" view to another button first. As for the dead zone, not much. And the direction control is not over sensitive and it does not auto "return-to-center" like the directional buttons. Close the accelerometer experience I would say. My only wish is it maps the pause button also. Handy when you have to leave the game for a moment.
This physics suits me much better, and I'm glad to be the first one in the world to get under one minute lap time on blue city on my RCZ.
Awesome mate, good job! Yeah the new physics are gold, they are a huge improvement. After only one day of testing the users are unanimous, new physics are much better. That is good because physics are always quite scary to touch on a game already released..
I think you guys have nailed it, the new handling physics are fantastic. I haven't been able to dig too deep at the moment but what I have played so far is spot on! Thanks for all your hard work#
New physics, are huge improvement compared older version,my laptimes are getting better because car starts to behave more realistic, behavior that I used to,after years of playing sims on my PC,there are lots of things to improve, but I can tell you one thing for sure, you are going the right way.Big thanks from me,and good luck with further development.
The TA's Mr. Slow (tm) notes the new physics makes the unmodified RCZ much more prone to understeering. Need more time to test the FR cars.
Yes, and when understeer happens look at the speed you enter the corner, generally you are going too fast. The problem is that the speed feeling is not that great right now, so you are usually going at a higher speed than you feel. Some improvement need to be made on this particular aspect of the game.
...or enter the corner too late or incorrectly... TA's Mr. Slow(tm) is also a real life driver, he thinks the sense up to 150km/h is still fine. The developer has the heart to make it even better is very much appreciated. Frankly, RR3 does not have very good sense of speed neither. How can we pay you back after buying the cash doubler? Keep up the good work.
Thank you!!! I was too stupid to scroll down the menu I guess staying below a minute on blue city/ RCZ /unmodified wouldn't have been possible without manual
I still do not use the mfi controller because the analog sticks do not steer as hard as the touch keys do Bends i can drive through without braking using the touch keys are not possible to get using the analog sticks of the controller. And the d-pad unfortunately doesn't work yet (in this beta stadium)
