That is a tricky couple of corners! I think braking is very weak from those speeds so I brake for what feels like about 1.5 seconds just before the road narrows on the right side, then turning in hard WHILST still braking for the final part of your braking (turn earlier than you think) and because the road drops away at the apex it carries the car just right when you finally release the brakes. It's like the 'steering with braking' just loads the nose in that general direction so when you release brake it's more eager to turn that way. Another dab of brakes before going into the right hander so it changes down a gear and that tucks the nose in for that corner quite nicely. After all that, it's really easy to get greedy on the exit of the right hander so you gotta be patient on the gas there too. I still haven't got all 3 parts of that equation perfect yet!!

I am also working on controller support since i just received my Bluetooth controller. That also imply to work on manual gear shifting. For the most hardcore players, manual shifting could improve your lap-time by a sec.
Are you talking about GTR35/stock race/Yamagata? I try NOT to break before/inside the last bend. But maybe i am just too slow

No, I was on about the Forest track. That kink left before hairpin right with the giant gravel trap (I think AuidR8cer was talking about that)
The challenge for me is that I cannot see the left turn until it's too late to start breaking so then I wind up in the gravel. This left turn is sunk down below the horizon level of the straight. Also, there is not really a good reference point on the right side of the long straight that I can use to mark as a braking point. It has come down to just estimating when to brake and then memorizing the timing. (Much like REAL racing I would imagine.) I'm not saying that I would like the track changed. It's fun and challenging the way that it is!
I've had lots of experience with racing games: 10+ years of Gran Turismo 2 years of RR1 2 years of RR2 3.5 years of RR3 I would LOVE for this game to have manual shifting!!!
Agree. Right now we have to brake a little more than necessary to force the auto transmission into a lower gear so that we can accelerate quicker with more power. Manually downshifting in preparation for exiting a turn at just the right second would allow faster lap times.
Yeah definitely. I like the way manual worked in 2K Drive... Keep finger on gas and just flick up or down to change up or down. Worked really well for touch.
Would you have to flick down as many gears as you want to downshift or would the duration of the hold after the flick determine how many gears down the shift is?
I'm getting closer now with a 57.xxx. How many upgrades did you have when you ran the 54.xxx? I still need the last Engine and Turbo upgrade.
1000m braking help So my problem is this... The intermediate license tests, I cannot for the life of me figure out the first one, all the other ones I have gold in, I'm at 93% but I cannot get the braking right, even tried sodeways slide but always 1 second off gold. Pls help (Also what's the best way to make money?)
The best way to make money fast is by running 10 lap Time Attacks. You can also earn money in Free Runs but if you get a great lap time, it doesn't count towards completing the Time Attack section. After each race, be sure to watch the ad and receive 1 gold coin. I have made close to 300,000 credits and 200 gold coins in one week. I did purchase the credit doubler for $2.99 USD to show my support for the game. (This could be why I have so many credits now.)
