As I wrote earlier, CCN is not terribly challenging, but tremendous fun nonetheless. The controls (once you get used to them) are very forgiving, and if you're quick enough you can actually recover from (most) missed platforms. That said, I've played through the entire game and I still haven't found all the masks (basically side-missions on every level). A couple of the bosses are actually pretty tough, and there's a section of one of the later levels that killed me repeatedly. It's just a blast exploring every nook-and-cranny, and stepping through a door (which usually not necessary to keep making progress) often yields a nifty reward.
I voted for Rolando 2, because that's still my favorite game on the iPhone, but I think it's difficult to compare that to Hook Champ or Soosiz. All three are great games, and I think everyone who has an iDevice needs all three.
You know, I'm on a plane and I played this tonight, it's really, really fun. I was playing Plushed, but the controls need some work and I just got frustrated dying one to many times when i did nothing wrong -- did not like Castle of Magic for the same reason. Anyway, CCN, is a total keeper. It's easy but totally entertaining.
I'm really happy you like CCN And strangely, I never had any problems with Plushed or even Castle of Magic (I loved every single second of it, such a great production). Somehow, both games work perfectly for me. With Plushed I never even thought about any controls issues and was very surprised that a lot of people were mentioning it. But again, I'm really happy you like CCN
Check the sales for this devices and you wouldn't know, that Apple doesn't need to lower any prices, the idevices sell like butter! And they are not running behind the industry, the whole industry is running and trying to catch the iPhone. But most of all, SPAMMER, GO AWAY.
I like soosiz but it makes me a bit dizzy. Bounce on is great but I just started, still on world 1. Also I downloaded chop chop ninja. I'll see how it is.
I finished Plushed tonight on the plane, and the controls are not nearly as bad as CoM. Glad both games worked for you. I'm excited to have fun with CCN in the next few days. Hopefully it will keep me entertained until Bounce On 2 comes out. Jonas Willis, we are all waiting. Hope Plushed gives you the message the cute little red ball needs to show his awesome character some more. Happy New Year.
Thanks. It was a long plane ride. The nice news was I was in first class, only due to frequent flyer programs, so I had an outlet and 9 hours with my iPhone. It was actually pretty nice to just have some time to fool around and play games. I don't get that much.
Just discovered a new, very decent platformer: Pirate Climber. It's got a few rough spots, but it has challenging, fairly original gameplay, cute 3d graphics (it plays as 2.5d, though), good controls, and tons of content for $2.00. It's free + DLC right now, but I understand that it's going up to $1.00 + $1.00 DLC soon. In any event, it's definitely worth the price. Check out the TA thread on the game if you want links and info.
Pirate Climber has already been modified and is currently selling at $.99. I recommend those who like platformers to give it a chance. Check out the game thread for more info.
I dont really like platformers, but this thread finally made me try soosiz light and Rolando, and I must say, Soosiz's simple charm is very appealing. Looks like it might be worth buying, even for this non-platform fan.
oergiheoa this is making me reinstall bounce on and soosiz to see if it'll click for me. it's happened with a couple other games, who knows
Spider. It's such a cool, mysterious storyline blended in with some unique gameplay. It's over so fast though, it's so fun.
