I might give this a shot, if what I have heard about Chinatown Wars is true though, then It will be one of my favorite games for a long time...

"Car Jack Streets is really great for most of gamers, but the style of that game is a little bit dangerous. It gets in the brain of some people, who cannot really understand what is game and what is reality. Its just my point of view."

Well it's certainly gotten into your brain, if you're the sort of person who actually believes that many people go out and emulate video games. If this is the case (and I believe it is) then I'd recommend you NEVER play this sort of game, as you're just the sort of person who might actually pick up a gun and try to take down your enemies. Since you practice censorship so freely- can murder and death be that far behind?

I thought that the most fun part about GTA on my friend's Xbox 360 was trying to obey the traffic laws and explore the city and different types of cars. Not everybody plays GTA to realize their sick killing fantasies.

TBH, I still have only played Gang$tar a total of five or six times:( I'm just not into it on the iDevice. I played CJS quite often for over a month when it was released and still have no probs with it. I say *bring it on* I'll be on board with Tag Games and CJSII.

I really enjoyed Gangstar, I love picking it up every now and then and just get a 5 star wanted level and see how long I can last in a car, because I shoot at cops all day and never die on foot

I have less than a nice response in mind...

I have less than a nice response in mind... But I will indeed keep this civil.

In fact, I won't even address you at all.

All I will say is this; If you think GTA, Payback or CJS is too violent, too crime oriented, or, that the fans of this genre are somehow stupid, or "children", then you've never experienced any type of GTA style game for yourself.

You are obviously not playing any video games at all or else you'd realize that GTA is the best satirical, cultural commentary available on any gaming system in the history of gaming systems.

Insulting fans of GTA, is like saying that Chinatown, The Godfather and Good Fellows are no different than pornography.

I'm a well known critic of CJS (the forum topic) for it's lousy gameplay, yet I still defend it's right to exist as a form of artwork. That's right, I said artwork.

And, quite frankly, I dare you to challenge me to a contest of wits. The idiot in this room would be exposed rather quickly.

In my humblest of all ever humble opinions.

    Ever the non-knee-jerker,

    Cjs 2

As a second response I'd like to say that while I did not enjoy Car Jack Streets itself, and, most importantly, I abhorred the unfortunate marketing strategies the devs used, I would definitely support having Car Jack Streets 2.

The two things that they got really right were the designs of the buildings/map and the cars. It's GTA2 all the way and very well done.

What they got wrong were the gameplay elements and the controls.

Terrible controls and terrible physics added up to equal one very un-fun game. Not to mention the play schedule!:)

Then, when users started to point that out, that the game was less than fun, the devs kinda went ballistic on the community here. I think it was all the single malt whiskey talking.

I'm willing to give 'em a by on this one. As long as they don't promise early adopters a discount or anything.

Paul... What's your favorite, cheap, Scotch?

    The Best,
    T.O.

Why is that guy ripping on the story? He said he liked the Looney Tunes... practically all of their stories are bizarre. Theme parks in space isn't unusual for them at all.

Hmm...intriguing...I've really ditched CJS and Payback since Gangstar came along, and with GTA coming up soon...but since this is in 3D, I'll definitely get it once it gets out.

    Australia, mate!
I thought that the first CJS was decent for an iPhone GTA-clone. Gangstar has good graphics no doubt, but there were not enough side missions and the main missions were pretty basic and repetitive. I'm excited about the fact that they have announced that CJS2 will steer clear of the cliches of GTA. I'm hoping for some new ideas which would revolutionise GTA.

ya,i hope this will be better, gangstar is a great game but somehow it lacks many things even it is an enjoyable experience, and now,Chinawars was announced which will surely revolutionize GTA-clone for iDevices in 3/4 view(payback-like).But honestly i prefer more the third person view GTA so i'm really into this one, hoping this would turn out good

If it is anything like the original CJS then I will not get it. Lack of content and lack of promised content updates makes for a bad game. I think I will probably stick with Gang$tar and GTA: CW.

I thought the real-time gameplay was very clever and a unique twist on the GTA formula. It added incentive to come back each day to play a little more and therefore should have been amazing. The problem was the execution of this idea, in that they basically killed your game if you failed to pay and that after a while (say 2 weeks) the missions became far too repetitive. Both could have been easily solved: a simple fine/penalty for each week you fail to pay and more variety in story, characters and missions. I wish they would just fix that in this sequel rather than remove it all together. And I hope they keep the cartoon style art style too and fix the car physics/AI too.

So what I want from CJS2:
Better Story (or rather a story)!
Same awesome art style translated to 3d.
Way more mission variety, with more boss characters, gangs and such.
Bigger city, with more life to it. More NPCs moving around. More areas to explore, maybe the countryside surrounding parts of Jack city and maybe an island or 2 out to sea?
    Improved car physics and AI.
More vehicles such as motorbikes, boats and an open-top sports car!
More accessible crazy rampage style missions, not just randomly occurring!
Better day/night cycle with weather effects. Link that with the real-time feature!
