Reviewed in itunes and downvoted all 1 star reviews upon request by SV. I could see somebody getting frustrated with Chocorun, but I can't imagine who would think it's a 1-star game. I think it's brilliant...great work.
This game is pretty tough. It hit me around level 8 that very precise tapping and tap-hold-releasing is going to be required for the rest of the game. Still trying to decide if it's more frustrating than fun.
Oh, can't believe I haven't seen this game before, its brilliant. My favorite iOS game is Above, which is essentially an endless/climber with the exact same one button jump mechanic. Translating it into a platformer takes it into an entirely different direction, but pure pleasure for me. Glad to see the graphics are getting overhauled, they are very work-man like, and not charming enough. The control mechanic also, to me at least, isn't as precise/refined as Above's, even though they are essentially the same thing. Still very solid, and sad I didn't pick it up earlier.
Lol.. Yeah, these type of games isn't for me at all..but I can see that its a good quality game. In terms of quality of the game, I'd say its ~4-5 stars..
I also downgraded all those negative 1 Star reviews....I love this game. Some people are just flat out ignorant and mean. Keep up the good work!
=oD Thanx... I've just got A TON of respect for this dev! These level designs are BRILLIANT! And it's gotta be the BEST SMB type game for the iOS... succeeding where a few others have failed MISERABLY! Listening to our suggestions... giving out promo codes... making the game free for a day... joining in the conversation here on TA... talking to fans on FB... it's so great having a dev that does all this! Really can't wait for the graphics overhaul... I actually really like how the game looks now... but the promo pic that's posted looks FRIGGIN AMAZING!! I was a little worried when I first heard that the graphics were going to change, but after seeing that pic, I'm totally stoked! Also, thank you guys for helping me get those 1 star reviews down... I really do think they're from Tobor supporters that are all pissed off cause the dev doesn't know what makes a good platformer - from his mouth - "I thought I could change the minds of some people..." - like we don't know what we like... I know he's all hurt that we all want some virtual controls... even if it's not from Tobor supporters, there's no sense in giving a great game like this 1 star, even if it's way too hard for you to enjoy... Amazed!!! Anything I could say about all these supportive actions and comments will never reflect the level of grattitude you all made me achieve!!! Yesterday I was really about to cry about the one star ratings... They seemed like pure rage to me, without any sense at all, they weren't stating something bad about the actual game, just trying to be as destructive as possible. But holy shit... what I've seen today from all you just blew my mind. I PROMISE, EVEN IF IT'S HARD, EVEN IF IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO ME, I WILL GET ALL YOUR GOOD SUGGESTIONS INTO THE GAME, maybe not as fast as a big enterprise, but I'll do it. I also hope we all keep in good contact, from now on, Choco is also your game and everyone can contribute in making it a better game, this is what I really can do to thank you all. When someone makes tears dissappear and replaces them with the biggest of the smiles, you know you have found something really special, that's how I feel.
Somehow I completely missed the release of this game. It wasn't until a couple of days ago that someone pointed out, in another thread, that Chocorun was free for the day. I wasn't too sure about the controls at first, but they have been growing on me, and I'm liking the game the more I play it. Plus I enjoy a good speedrun-style game. I do have a few minor nitpicks (I tried to skim through the thread, and I saw no previous mention of these): 1.) Add a retry button to the pause screen. Sometimes I know that a run isn't good, and I'd like to restart as quickly as possible, without having to go back to the level select screen. Of course, on levels that have plenty of obstacles, it is easy enough to die and automatically restart. 2.) Local high score(s). I'd like to be able to at least see the individual high scores and times without having to go into OF every time. Maybe a separate scores/times screen? Or display the highs on the level end screen, so you can at least remember what you are shooting for? 3.) Add the OF icon to the level end screen. That would save a little extra time from having to go all the way out to the main menu. And I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I swear I've gotten 3 stars on a level, but the level select screen will show 1 or 2 stars for that particular level. Almost seems that if I leave the level end screen before it is done counting up the time, then it will show less stars on level select. Like I said, those are all very minor issues. Otherwise, I'm finding this to be a fantastic game!

I'm glad we could ease your mind a little... those 1 star reviews are total crap! Great to hear that you'll be implementing all the suggestions you can! I hope there's some great ideas tossed around in here... so far... there's been quite a few... and with the new graphics, this game is going to be great for years to come! =oD Like I've said time and time again, it's ALWAYS great having a developer that's active here on TA... it really helps games grow, and gives the gamers a chance to get more into the games than they normally would. WOOHOO!!
Just thought I'd pop by here to post my thoughts. I'm really loving this game, the simple one button controls work very well and even though after the first few levels it's getting really hard it's never seemed to be frustrating I just die try again die try again, over and over, this truly must be a good sign and totally one of those "one more go" games. I haven't read the whole thread but just read the couple above me and I take it that people have been rating this down for some reason? I really can't see why? I did just download it for free a couple of days ago but I would have still been very happy if I'd bought it. I can see this being a game that stays on my iPod.
Next update will bring this. Not on next update, but added to the roadmap. Consider it done! also next update. Don't think so... we store the time just when the counter starts so you can cut the animation at any time without worries. But I'll take a deep look into doing things really fast and fix anything that shows up. And for the nice words... Thanks!!!
People have been rating this down for no reason at all... just saying stupid things that make no sense or give any info about the game at all. You can take a look on the comments to see what I mean. But the vast majority of comments are from real players and they are REALLY good and helpful to continue making improvements and that makes me so proud I can't stop working on it! This week I've slept almost 15 hours in total and I'm not tired!

When Choco falls and hit the ground after a fall, he just sits there instead of automatically start moving the direction hes facing, maybe change this to auto start moving? Sorry for my english This is for the dev in Spanish, something similar to what i said above, but better: Cuando Choco cae en determinadas situaciones despues de bajar por una pared se queda quieto en vez de seguir moviendose como hace normalmente, quizas podrias cambiarlo para que empiece a caminar automaticamente? Lo digo porque es algo molesto tener q saltar para hacer doble salto leve y asi empezar a andar otra vez
