Beta tester chiming in, I have to say they still have the original touch controls with a bit of tweaking and they are still a bit of a nuisance. The D-pad on the other hand is great and a sleek looking one if I may add, not going to prevent any of your grinding pleasures
The D-pad is an excellent addition to this game. In the original my fingers kept getting in my way and I felt that the self-guided movement wasn't as nice as it should be. And yes, that is one smexy d-pad.

Inotia again? I don't know... Before Chronicles of Inotia I didn't know about this particular subgenre of RPG... I wish I still didn't. Apparently the idea is this: Make about 30-40 'rooms' and one town. Each person in town wants you to kill 10 of x monster or get 10 of x item (dropped by a monster of course). The first room has level 5 monsters. The second has level 10, the third has level 20, and so on. A final boss appears in the last room. In order to proceed from room to room, you must run around fighting random mobs in the room you are in and grind until you are just strong enough to fight the mobs in the next room. Rinse and repeat. This method makes for an *extremely* frustrating and monotonous gaming experience. I hope that this one turns out different. An RPG requires the presence of a plot or story of some kind, some sort of goal to work towards, and how about some actual characters! For me to even think about getting this game, I will need some MAJOR assurances that I am not just paying for another "grind until the next room, then grind until the next room" type of game! Fool me once...
It was spot-on though...touched upon every problem that I had, as well as most people have with the game.
very big disappointment on the first CoI, it fool you by the graphic, but the overall gameplay suck that I try really hard to finish it.... not sure I'll go for the second one... waiting for the review first
haha! - he spent the whole video demonstrating his awesome accent, killing a few monsters, and continually going back to the merchant to find out he didn't have enough gold yet to buy a new weapon... (he gained 2 pieces of gold the whole 8 minutes)... hahahah On another note, I hope that it's easy to play with the priest as your main character. I notice that many games like this are designed to work if you have an offensive character, but if you play a support character and stay in the back, it's tough to get your AI controlled party members to attack while you stay back and support. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS!
The game isn't even out and I already have a plea/complaint! PLEASE MAKE MULTIPLAYER REAL MULTIPLAYER - not some AI bs This is what nodpad.com previewed for COI2: "As I mentioned before, Com2uS has also included an online battle feature that will match you up with the parties of people across the world. Though your opponents parties are AI controlled, there is no way that theyre easy to kill. I found the AI to be almost just as smart as a thinking human being, and oftentimes I was hard pressed in my battles. I love this feature, as competing with other peoples players and fighting to be on the top of their world leaderboards is a very appealing feature." Damn - guess I'm stuck waiting for another RPG that actually includes some co-op for boss fights and some REAL arena pvp.
But...unless you find one just right...i'm pretty sure this is your best chance...and it's a pretty darn good chance too.
