Connect 9 is a simply, yet addictive game. It is the best game for both relaxing and killing time. Click the colored discs to matching 9s to score points, and try to connect discs of the same color to earn bonus points. iTunes link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/connect-9/id415444072?mt=8 There are some promo codes left, anyone who promise to give a rating and write a review could contact: crossingfireex at gmail.com Enjoy!
Thanks for the promo code! I'd give this 4 stars. When I first played it I did timeless mode, found it very boring (I think for people who are good at mental arithmetic you will need something else to excite them, as with Super 7). So I wasn't hopeful when I played the timed mode ... but I soon changed my mind, playing game after game to beat my high score - which is currently 555. It's really addictive and fun, simple but enjoyable - very much a "one more go" game. I have 4 main suggestions for improving the timed mode. (1) It needs local and ideally global leaderboards. (2) Numbers which are placed in the top left-hand corner are sometimes partly obscured by the score/high score. (3) The scoring system needs to be slightly better explained (on the help screen it should say "Get 1 point FOR each disc", not "OF" each disc), and the penalty system also needs to be explained since this does becomes a small but important part of strategy if you know you are going to get a penalty but have a choice of different colours get the penalty with, so to speak! (4) The bonus system seems a bit hard to grasp because the colours don't seem to be ranked in an obvious order. So it's hard to remember which colours are worth more. (If we knew which colours were worth more, this would give the game a more strategic element and hence add another dimension to what is, at the moment, a bit too much of a simple adding game.) I suggest that you use rainbow order, i.e. purple x2, dark blue x3, light blue x4, green x5, yellow x6, red x7? I hope some of these suggestions are useful!
I've received your review. Thanks for your suggestions, it is very useful for me and I appreciated it very much. 1) Currently I'm researching the usage of OpenFeint&GameCenter, so once it was done, it will be applied to the app immediately. 2) I have noticed this issue, will be fixed on next update. 3) 4) These are also the fault of the developer. Since I know exactly what the rules of the game, I ignored the feelings of the users. The indicators and help hints will be more clearly and directly on next update. I will always be grateful to users like you who help me to improve the quality of apps. You are a vital part of my continued growth and success. Thanks again for your feedback.
I'm glad my comments were helpful, crossingfire! Two other small points: (1) Occasionally there is no sound for the bonus. Not sure why. Maybe too much is happening at once. (2) I suggest you have a ticking sound for the last five seconds - the end is too abrupt! Everyone else: this is a great game, grab the promo codes or buy the game!
Issue (1) has been noticed when the app was released, and the reason has been found, this will be fixed in the future. According to issue (2), I have changed the color of the time progress bar to red, and also it keep sparkling when time is less than 10%. However, if this still makes user feel abrupt, I will consider adding a ticking sound, as you suggested.
