I was just wondering about copywrites and trademarks and how to get them. Is a trademark like a patent (my dad has 9 patents )? And is a copywrite just an automatic thing that you don't have to pay for? (ie: it protects your work from being stolen).

    Thanks!

So I don't fully understand the copwrite (thanks for the link), so do I have to go to someone to get a copywrite or is (for EG) "Bringing Simple Applications to a new level" a copywrite?

    Thanks for your help!

Yeah, it'd be your best bet. You go to a lawyer, I think. They set-up the ramifications on your catchphrase, how it can be used, and so and so.

"Bringing Simple Applications to a new level" would be a trademark . . . not a copyright. Copyrights are for distribution of works and stuff . . . trademarks are phrases or names that identify a certain product.
