"The 42" Judging by the comments from the developers about "The 42" requiring enough fame that "you wouldn't have any thumbs left", and that hackers love nice round powers of 2, I'd guess "The 42" achievement comes at 2^32-1 fame: 4,294,967,295. And a quick estimate based on fame achieved per race suggests that that level of fame would take *years*, hence the hint that the required fame would likely go down to something more reasonable.
I'm having really hard time beating the adversary. I got all cars and weapons maxed, I also tried some advice from this thread like using sniper, mines, etc, but still no luck. the closest i ever get is when I'm using striker, I get him to the last health bar but my weapon is out of ammo then so I have to use the regular gun, which I do but I still can't kill him.
Yeah i was really disappointed when i didnt get "The 42" when i reached 100 Million Fame. Additionally the devs or who ever is responsible should kick the hackers from the game center lists, there are 100's of identical and illogical scores there.
That's exactly what you're missing Retry, restart, RAGE QUIT!!! Or just have some patience. I got lucky with the striker, getting 5 ammo boxes in a race and beat him on the 2nd lap. Guess it all comes down to luck
i got lucky in beating the adversary. down to 1% health and 0 ammo to spare buuut! thank my lucky stars i picked up a nitro right at the final turn it was a photo finish
Wow! The update is huge! I love the game even more now. All those who don't have don't know what they are missing. Love the Duke challenge! Now working on unlocking the new car.
Was new to the game. And fell absolutely in love with it. Best action racer on the idevices. Period. Just couldn't put it down. Everything is pretty mich perfect. The deathmatch Duke Nukem update rocks! BUT: I'm around 100% and the game keeps crashing after every race. When I go back, last race's points and achievement are gone. So, I'm stuck. Just deathmatch was working. But I really want to continue but can't. Got an iPhone 4 with latest OS and no jailbreak. Restarted/rebooted several times. I really hope, you can fix it. So I can get my Death Rally fix again. Brilliant game.
Bought it and never liked it because of the control. But guys .... the updates keeps coming giving more content, maybe I should fire it up again!
You should. There's arrow control like in reckless racing and the normal, both with left and right-handed controls! Updates frequently!
I'm saving up my updates. I didn't play the last one... well only for a few minutes. I was planning to save up this one too, until there were three updates for me to work on, but I'm not sure I can hold out. It's a great game.
I can't seem to retrieve my progress through Game Center. When I updated the game, it kept crashing whenever I would try to run it. So I deleted it and reinstalled it. Now the game works, but whenever I try to retrieve my progress, it crashes. I was at 117%...would rather not have to redo it all...
I was only about 75% but now I can't get it to get past the splash screen as well. I hate to have to delete and reinstall, but I guess that's what happens with updates sometimes.
Or just wait a few days, if needed, for them to fix the problems. Play some other games (if you really have to), then you don't lose where you are in the game. Deleting and reinstalling is not a good option when you've put a decent amount of time into a game.
Was crashing in-game right after filling up points after a race. Gave my device a complete reboot, and seems to play fine now. **Edit: Nope, game keeps bringing me back at home screen after trying to fill up my points. WTH??? **Edit2: Thank Gawd I kept my old version on iTunes. Downgrading, hoping it'll do the trick. **Edit3: Ah, the joys of selective iTunes synching. I love starting games from scratch, helps you remember why you liked them in the first place. Well, I should've been wiser and listen to wiser men such as Mr. Grizzly.
