You know, for someone who plays so many "well designed games" it seems you don't know the basics of game play. It doesn't matter about flaws, language and circumstances like i stated once before you aren't capable of playing any real rpgs. Your game ability is capped with tic tac toe or hangman lol, I am bashing you? You are right, stop wasting time and space as this game isn't for you like i told you in the beginning. All i hear from you is whine here and there and everywhere, go play something else that is well designed that has maps with signals to tell you exactly what to do without putting effort into it.
Any chance we can see a translation revision? I'm enjoying this game, but I the text is so lousy it's revolting! Does the dev, or marketing responsible lurks around here??
Wow. For someone who obviously loves this train wreck, you have very little to contribute in defense of its flaws. Why even bother responding with such inanity? And you want to talk about wasted space? I bought the game, Sherlock, so I have every right to voice my opinion of it in this thread. If you can't respond to valid criticism with anything other than ludicrous comments like "You can't play any rpg's!", you need to stop responding and get back on the meds. You're just burying yourself deeper. "...It doesn't matter about flaws, language....." Thanks for the laugh of the day! I suggest hiring a proof reader to check for 'sanity' before you hit the submit button. Wait...I see that this is the ONLY game you ever play or comment on. I didn't realize it was your LIFE. Please forgive me!
Just felt like commenting on this. Issues such as constant respawning enemies, unmarked goals and locked doors are common elements in many RPG games (some more than others). Say for example the earlier versions of Final Fantasy (FFII is ridiculously hard). It's probably really hard to complete those games without help of a guide. Yet these games are not poorly designed and are generally well received (except FFII's leveling system which greatly backfired). Many of the issues you mentioned about game play that be avoided by simple planning rather than running around with trial and error. This is where the map comes in. It isn't useless. It allows you to plan your paths through a dungeon. And also, the respawning enemies isn't a problem. If you know the paths or have planned beforehand already, you can easily dash through monsters (which is unlike many other RPG so this is a plus point) without taking many hits. Also, most RPGs also have a level of grinding associated with them. If you keep dying to common enemies, it's probably time to grind some levels. This once again isn't a design flaw. And most notably, unlike most RPG games where you can just grind and overpower bosses with high level characters, its not feasible in this game. Fighting bosses require specific strategies making each boss fight a challenging experience. As for things not explained... most RPGs don't spell it out for you. The fact that people come here to discuss about the game isn't a design flaw. By that logic, many of the most popular RPG games are considered to be flawed in design due to the fact that people need to check out a guide to finish them or otherwise spend hours trying to figure out the next step. There isn't a proper guide for this game so we come online and ask others instead. That said, from what I read in your post, I think proper planning (ie looking at the map, note the places you have entered, plan your healing potions etc) would have helped you tremendously. The only issue I have with this game is the awkward controls, but after a while you just get used to it and now I don't have any problems with it. My 2cents. Cheers.
It seems you never played old style rpg's, let me ask you one thing and one thing only. Where did RPG style games originate? If you know the answer to that and the first initial true rpg style then maybe you would understand such a simple game as this.
I am with pwnaginage on this. This is a very simple game and even with the finicky controls I am actually moving the speed up to max and still the monsters don't spawn fast enough. It doesn't matter what build you use.... with the bad translation the tutorial actually tells you have to use your stats for different builds as well. If monsters spawns are actually an issue then you are having some trouble grasping the skills and the fighting mechanics. Even without spending stat points I can clear a room way before the re spawns even think of popping up. That is just with the basic attack alone. The reason he is responding is that your "valid criticism" is that it appears to be stemming from skill at the game vs the design mechanics. The bad translation even tells you (you have a key now so you can go here) or it says go to the forest on the east side of Kamel (only one skull portal in the oooohhh so confusing 4 rooms). Yet you complain about having to move all over the map... heck there are even items in the game that can get around the moving around the map. They are extremely cheap as well.
Who are you? Alex Trebek? Am I on a game show? Seriously, I'm done trying to explain this in English to you. You are married to the game, and you want to have its children. Have a nice life together. Maybe reading some other reviews will help illustrate some of my points: http://www.appsafari.com/games/14360/demon-hunter--the-return-of-the-wings/ http://www.gamedynamo.com/game/show/1/982/review/en/iPhone_Android_BlackBerry/Demon_Hunter_The_Return_of_the_Wings
If you are going to pull up professional video game reviewers (many who have less experience playing games than most players), then we can also address the fact that this game is styliezed after older RPGS which did not spoon feed the gamers. Also this is a very broad hobby and what appeals so some, does not appeal to others. Heck the recent COD games are a prime example of games that are full of gameplay mechanics that could be argued as being flawed, but sell off the charts. The way you are explaining things is not stemming from flawed mechanics. It is stemming from the ability to play the game. I suck at Guitar Hero, but I can play the guitar pretty good... that doesn't mean that GH has horrid mechanics. Just agree to disagree, cause neither side is going to agree to the other.
You don't know the answer? If not don't bother to reply to my posts to you, yeah racist people usually tend to aim with that language bs. Go back to tic tac toe is my advise to you.
I don't know the answer? Racist people? Tic tac toe? And you wonder why I stopped responding to you. Please, go back to your wife and stfu.
You can find them, usually around 1m-2m per but sometimes some people sell for less just check from time to time.
Depends, you get 3 for 30% completion of cards/recipes/boss cards, 10 at 60% of each and 20 for 90%? Some from treasure chests so in total about 120 at the most?
hey guys, illusia, is pretty close in comparison to demon hunter. platform side-scroller. im going to try it and give feedback
Alot of people have already compared it in that thread. I am finding this to be better. Illusia is like a candy coated casual version of DH. Its got a lot of ups... but I prefer this still.
Just picked this up and have a really stupid question. How do you mine? I can't seem to equip my mining axe so I can't even get past the first quest.
