I love posts like this They're essentially trolling. If you don't like a game or you have problems with it, then say something constructive. Just going in to a forum to say "i don't like this game" doesn't help anyone - instead it just annoys them.
sigh... still crashes on the startup screen. Do I really need to completely delete it and lose all the time I spent on my characters?
hope something gets done to the framerate . even with video upscaling tuned all the way down and patch 4.3, theres still noticable slowdown esp at the later waves or bigger maps like magus quarters. This is on iP4 btw. On my iP3GS, the frame rate is slightly worse off. Browsed through some gameplay videos for the android version, seems pretty smooth as compared to the iOS ver.
I believe we are experiencing the cap of graphic ability on our phones, the talk will be how the iPhone 5 is needed for lots of games like this.
Are you sure? I finished two rounds of Throne Room insane last night and both times I received ~200k mana... This is because all the items, at the end of the round, get converted to mana and placed in your bank. Are you thinking the equip gets put in your item bank? That's not the case. It gets auto-sold to the bank and the mana gets distributed.
Hmm, that would indeed explain it. However, during my first tests, I had a couple of items lying about, and 40 mana, and the result was 40 more mana in my bank. So I never considered the alternative you mention, since the items simply disappeared, with no trace of either items or additional mana in my bank. I'll give it a few more tries. Perhaps what I describe above was an isolated and rare bug. Thanks!
I just tested, and you're correct for most of the waves, except that the items left on the ground at the very end of a stage do not get converted into mana.
Can someone help me with my noob questions? Thx in advance. (1) How do I upgrade gear using mana? Is this option not available right away? (2) Can you tell which items are worth looking at from a distance, or do you have to get close and look at the stats? (3) How do I switch to a different hero mid-level? (4) Is there some way to share characters over your iphone and ipad?
Here's an easy guide. google.com Try searching, "dungeon defenders guide" or I could spoon feed you a google link too. [Or dungeon defenders wikia]
Or, you could answer his questions, which might help other posters too. Considering how poorly designed and unintuitive a lot of DD's UI is, I'm surprised there aren't more of such questions. (Don't get me wrong. I love this game and I bought it on day 1. But I'm not going to lie and say that all of their design choices were the best.) In your tavern (you might be able to do this from other locations too, I'm not sure), go to the forge and choose "Hero Info". In the top right, there will be a green arrow; click that. Choose a piece of gear and hold down the "Invest" button. The number below it will tell you how much mana you need to upgrade to the next level. The game has an algorithm for estimating the power of an item, and it will be either green/yellow/red/gray. Green means the game thinks it's better, yellow is similar, red is worse, and gray is unusable. The minimap will display dots for the green items. Keep in mind that it's only an estimate based on the game's formula. It's likely you'll have a different stat equivalence that you follow. So if you really don't want to miss a single upgrade, no matter how slight, you need to check every single item (yes, it's annoying and tedious). If you just want a quick check, then this will work for you. During the build phase between each wave, go to the forge to switch your hero. Can't help you there. I don't own an iPad.
1. Go to the forge, which is the jukebox looking thing, and go to hero info. If you're on iPhone, then you need to scroll over once. You can do this between waves or in the tavern. 2. You need to be close for the green red or yellow indicator to show. 3. From the forge (jukebox) and only in between waves. 4. Not yet, but I think there will be one soon.
1. You can upgrade your gear in your keep through hero/item info options via use of mana. 2. Red box= worse than current gear. Dark grey box=not compatible with current character. I try to pick up everything regardless because you never know whether its good for another class(unless there all maxed). 3. You can switch during build phase. 4. As far as I know...no but I also never tried to confirm. EDIT: Just noticed post above(as I was writing). Thank you for helping out as well.
Thanks! I tried the wiki, and it is still a little bare bones. I cant find a decent guide via google. Just killed my first ogre! Woot!
The fan community generally benefits most from a centralized information resource. I've done some work on the wiki, but thanks to actually not having much time to go deep into the world of DD, there is little I can do besides pretend to know what I am writing But all you knowledgeable fellas, occasionally after answering questions here in this thread, skip over to the wiki and share your knowledge dungeondefenders.wikia.com
