Can someone explain the item level up system? I'm not sure what to do to level up my weapons/gear/clothes, etc.
Woot finally got the friends forever achievement. Legendary item as well ^_^. Just need to find out who can equip it
1. Every time you finish a wave and have spare mana you reckon you won't need immediately(i.e. you can tank like the first quarter to half of the next wave without needing much mana), you dump it in your forge. 2. When you finish a mission and get your mana refilled, you dump it in your forge. 3. You pick up all crap on the floor except the nonsense that's worth less than a hundred something(for me now, I don't pick up shit that's worth less than 500). 4. You sort your loot out, lock the ones you want, and sell all the rest to the bank. Voila, some mana to spend. 5. You pick your best items(I usually save upgrading for only Godly items or at least Legendary or Epic) and then you press and hold the tiny 'Invest' button at the bottom right until you have a stat point to distribute to one of your items' abilities. 6. Godly gloves are hard to find, so far I've only gotten a pair and they're inferior to my lv 3. Legendary. The rest of the equips are relatively easy, my mage sans his gloves wears a full Godly set. 7. Godly items usually drop at and above Hard difficulty. They can drop at lower difficulties, but at a much lower frequency. I've gotten my best haul so far playing the hall court at Hard, solo with my lv 30(now 33) mage. I have a question myself though, what does wearing a full set of armor give as a bonus? Like if you wear full plate, full pristine or full chain? My knight or monk(can't remember) uses a full plate set and there's that blue aura around the items, but it doesn't appear to give any bonus. my best weapon is a godly flaming will III from a medium ogre, I have 2 or 3 other staves that I locked, godly/ legendary/epic i'm not sure if I can get better ones : o so uncertain to upgrade!
Just upgrade, as you get higher and can solo hard or insane difficulty, mana is easy to come by. The loot you pick up can easily be worth 20,000 for a level. I'm sure it can hit 50,000 if you play insane on the last level, perhaps more. I just powerleveled my monk from 5 to 14 playing the 3rd level on insane with the help from my mage, and sold all the loot I got from the ogre. A general guideline for weapons, at least at where I am now, is that if it's worth more than 1k at level 1. Then it's probably a good item worth upgrading, of course the stats can sometimes get skewed(i.e. -5 something). My current staff was worth 5,584 at lv 1, now it's around 8k. Of course, if you can't find better, you make do. I upgraded a 600ish crossbow for my huntress to lv 6, must've spent at least 11k on it.
hmm okay! What's your GC username? : I should use the swap heroes to power level my huntress too! After setting up my mage usually idles.
It's Chinese characters, I doubt you can add me, but you could enable the Chinese keyboard and type in this -lu jia jin and try to find the characters. 卢家槿 I never realised picking a unique name(my name) would make connecting to people so damned difficult. The mage in my opinion is the best character to power level with. In fact, I feel the mage is somewhat overpowered. That said though, I don't want the mage nerfed Amen. Trust me, I know, it's the most frustrating part of the game. The 'help' states that crafty heroes push enemies into the lava. Why anyone would do that is beyond me, since you lose all the mana that they might give and even items!
Just starting out as a Warrior. Any recommendations for where to put my stats for levelling up? So far I've put them all into Hero Strength, which is now at about +7. Also, I'm saving my spare mana for later to upgrade items that are worth upgrading. Good idea?
