If you put it in your bank, or use your forge, you can upgrade items. Also, how you build your warrior is up to you. Some focus on tower stats, some on hero stats, some have a balance. It's up to you. I foresee a future where people will ask the highest level in the game(won't be me, never) what build he/she is.
Level 60 apprentice, looking for other person around this level to go Ogre bashing on insane. GC : Puxxii
Anybody want to complete the no tower allowed challenge with me? Edit: starting myself. If u just happen to join my game then =D
the controls suck all the fun out of this game for me.. i even updated to 4.2 for this game.. i kinda wish i didnt
I strongly agree. Controls and also the menus take all the fun of playing this game. Boring as hell, too much is going on. Terrible.
It's easy to see that this game wasn't built for single player. It's a shame, because although playing online is fine, having an adapted difficulty for the amount of players would be fantastic. Even the second level can be difficult in your own, but get online with two others so that you're each covering an entrance and it's a cakewalk. I don't think the controls and menus are so bad. The game is quite deep and there's a lot going on, and because of that, there's loads of options etc. I think the game makes up for it though. Also, it seems like the Mage is where it's at. The only other players I've played with have all been mages online (three separate matches) and as a Warrior I thought it was a little strange. Anyway, I started a Mage, and it's so much easier. They're also more fun to play as well, so I'd definitely recommend them as a starting class. EDIT: Only other thing that might be cool is if you could do some occasional text chat (like in Pocket Legends), simply to give people who don't seem to know what they're doing an idea of what to do. Also, people who don't go to the crystal and hit ready need to do it... Having to wait around for a solid minute simply because the last guy hasn't hit ready is boring as hell.
Ok, after having played the game a bit I must say that it feels totally unfinished. While the core gameplay is there, the controls are just terrible, mainly the camera control which is just utterly useless. Why they didn´t go for the normal swipe mechanic is beyond me. Then the icons are just plain senseless, you just can´t figure out which icon does what. The guy that designed those icons should be fired. I had problems putting items up in the tutorial because of the bad icon design. The menues are just cluttered with stuff, too much going on on the screen. I couldn´t figure out how to use items that you took, like changing a sword or a helmet. It´s just plain terrible. Then the tutorial goes on and on and mostly the text covers the entire screen so that the player can´t see what´s going on most of the time, I mean the text obscures 80 percent of the entire screenspace without the option to click the text away, bad design. I had high hopes for this game, but in this state it is really dissapointing, I sure hope that the pc version turns out better than this. 5 out of 10 from me. Hope that future updates can solve these issues and that you guys can get a better performance out of the graphics...it never runs smoothly.
yeah... I have to agree. The tutorial that covers the screen, the controls, the translations, the camera, the unbalanced single player, the connection problems in multiplayer. All this seems unfinished and unpolished to me... Hopefully, all this get fixed as I see a ton of potential in this game.
I've gotta say, I really adore this game. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's simply gripped me. And traditionally speaking, I'm not even an RPG fan. Or a Tower Defence fan either for that matter. Yes there's a learning curve, and yes the tutorial isn't great, but I have a simple message for all genuine A-RPG fans: Persevere with it! Dungeon Defenders FW is totally worth it and utterly rewarding! However, I can't quite give it a full recommendation in it's current form for the following reasons: • Firstly, the graphics are very fuzzy (on my iPhone 4) at times. Does this game have full RETINA DISPLAY? Some parts are lovely and crisp, while others are anything but. With graphically superior titles such as Infinity Blade and Rage HD out there, the fuzzy characters in DD are a disappointment.* • Another issue revolves around camera issues. Yes, the you can zoom in and out, and yes, the camera angle can be rotated too, BUT it's still far from perfect - especially when walking by a wall. This often causes the angle camera to rise, looking down at a paper-thin wall. Shame. • The final development area relates to the D-pad controls, which are anything but precise and accurate to use. Despite these flaws, Dungeon Defenders is a top, top game, which will appeal to novice and hardcore gamers alike. I'm aware that Trendy Entertainment are currently working on update(s), and I sincerely hope they address the foibles that I've highlighted too. Perfection or not, DD is great game nevertheless and if it's not on your device, it should be on your wish-list right now.
Most people don’t know this: you can disable the Virtual Dpad in the options menu. The control scheme will change to a tap to go to that location, double tap to jump, etc. interface.
Just a quick question : sometimes when I die I respawn with no weapon , what am I supposed to do then ?
The controls Aren't that bad... Lol. I mean it just takes getting used to. The majority of people who dislike them played this game like for a hour or less. Give it a day it grows on ya
Great game arcy such a a shame that ogre had 25,000 health lol. Hall of court on hard is fun as hell though. And we had a great strategy going to just that damn ogre...Kyle you up for a game we haven't played in a while.
Thanks! On Monday/Tuesday I'll finish going through all the suggestions in this thread and add it to the suggestions thread in the other forum. I'm glad you're enjoying the game!
Sounds like you didn't give this game long enough. Majority of the thread agrees that once you learn the game, it's very understandable. Can't expect to learn to ride a bike without falling off. I'm fine with the controls and camera, its the nitpickers who want to play the game their way. Calling for the firing of the guy who designed the icons is immature and irrational. Someone needs to put up a FAQ because i'm tired of seeing the same questions asked over and over again All it takes is to do some research
