Well I'm still amazed and bitter that the review didn't make any mention about the graphic engine nor the fantastic leveling system this game has and depth it provides us. Also how cool it is to swap between classes and strategize towers and powers. It was probably the most off review I've read yet. Saying this game is broken was also a bit harsh not even commenting on how amazing the developers are being to their fans with update promises. At least they went ahead and talked about the cross platform play we are all to expect. But I'm done now, bitter, but done.
Exactly. That's why I commented asking how far have the reviewer played, because it seemed like it was Tutorial-> tavern ->rage post.
don't worry Trendy we <3 you. Even if I have a hard time playing online, being somewhere in South East Asia. Its okay, I have been looking forward to this game since Dungeon Defense(the udk demo.) Annnnnnnd almost everyone I have told about the game is interested in the PC edition!
Wow I just soloed raining goblin challenge and beat it first try. Seems to be the easiest to do. Well... Easiest if ur low level. (I'm 33 or w/e)
Wow the game always doesnt lose connection until the very last wave at the very few monsters left . BS !!!!
How do you defend against the dragons on the third level? I am a squire and they just fly over my defenses.
Ok I will add you guys mine is ablueleaf Edit : what is articulate's gc name ? Lazykw what's your gc ?
Also... Those of you posting personal information about Brad because you disagree with our opinion on a video game really need to reconsider doing that if you want to continue posting here.
If anyone wants the reviewer to take any criticism to heart, it needs to be constructive. I don't know why anyone would feel the need to call for him to be fired, etc... you can call out inconsistencies or bad journalism without personally attacking or divulging personal information about him. I dunno who posted that though, all I saw was links to his previous work and similar issues. Honestly, I just feel the review is not well written. The virtual D-Pad in the game works flawlessly. I have big, fat fingers and have no problem using the virtual d-pad. Are some of the other buttons crowded? Sure, but the reviewer suggested it was not capable of being fixed, which is a flat out lie. Is the reviewer a game developer? I highly doubt it. I would guess he has no clue how to develop a game, or how hard (or easy) it is to implement features. The only thing I agree with, is that it is a complex game and the tutorial sucks. I was one of the people who would have trashed this game, had I not played through a few levels solo (ANOTHER issue with the review... game balance is off for solo play? WHAT?!?! I suck at a lot of games, and I'm finding this relatively easy on easy, a bit more difficult on medium, etc etc.). I have avoided online, because of the connection issues, but that has not killed my fun with the game. If I was waiting on this game purely for multiplayer, I would be upset with the disconnects and issues, and would certainly call that out in a review. But I would have also stated how the developers have been incredibly active and already have a patch coming that should address many problems. As I level up, I'm upgrading my gear, putting mana in the bank to save up for upgrading a legendary once I get one, and as I level up I go back and play a level again on a harder difficulty, and it's going very well as long as I THINK about chokepoints, strategy, etc... I think most people here complaining just have issue with the way the review slammed features that AREN'T broken, completely disregarded a ton of features of the game, claims the game can't be fixed, and could possibly turn a lot of people off to what is one of the best games I have downloaded on my iPod Touch yet. If they fix the camera controls, and improve performance on all devices, that will be enough for me to give this game 4 stars. If they clean up the UI and fix the connection issues (non-gamecenter related ones at least), 5 stars easily.
