    Quick questions:

    - If I have 2 3gs iphones, can I play coop with a friend, both of us alone, or is this an open world and there will always be more people around us?

You can't play alone just yet, but you can get both of you guys into the same room through an invite system... However each room has a 4 person limit and those 2 extra slots will be filled in with randoms.

So, this game is designed for 4-man parties?

Up to 4 man, but you can beat most of the game by yourself. With more people, each of the maps get harder. (The game throws more enemies at you)

The only time you really need more then yourself is when you are playing the maps on INSANE difficulty. With that you'll need all the help you can get :(.

Does anyone know if there have been any developer mentions of 2 player rooms, local play, or, better yet, password-protected games?

In the upcoming update there will be private games so only people you invite can join (or something like that).

  8. Patch for iOS coming in about 2 weeks :(

Hey guys. I was pretty active in the forum earlier but due to the amazingness of bioshock 2, I quit playing for a bit when I hit 60. But when the update arrives I'll be on the thread and playing constantly again so im looking forward to it!

    Gear question

I have a question for more advanced players...

From what I gather, the two best methods for getting the best gear (godly pristine) is ogre crush and throne room insane (chests in throne room). Is there an alternate or better way? If not, is one of those two conisderably more effective? Can an apprentice even solo throne room insane? Is there a way to do Ogre crush on different maps?

I have all Godly gear, but most is godly enchanted and the best weapons I've found do 35-39 damage each for elemental and melee and upgrade to only around 200 at level 10. Any and all advice from those in the know is appreciated. Thanks.

  13. I'd say both maps are as effective, it really depends on luck. You could solo throne room insane but I would advice doing it in team as you get more exp and score and its easier to manage. Ogre crush is ONLY available on the castle armory map, its the challenge for that map.
If you're an apprentice you want to be looking out for staves with 29 elemental damage/38 normal damage and 4 projectiles. At 29 elemental, level 10 gives you about 500. 38 normal gives you about 160-170 normal damage, where the final damage will be determined by how many points you have added into your apprentice's hero attack stat.

What level do you guys play insane on? I was expecting hell being a lvl 22 with only 1 level 10 item and the rest random stuff still at 1. but beat the first one solo witout even doing much. Does it scale with your level ( eg get harder if your char is at level 60?).

Edit: And thanks Ablueleaf for explaining about the Ogre Crush stuff, wasn't sure what that was all bout untill now. :)

  17. Yes it's possible , defenses need to be concentrated near the core thats all . And also a good normal attack staff .

The problem, for me anyway, with soloing throne insane, is that Dark Elf archers appear on the top tiers in each corner of the crystals. I can't afford defenses up there, and it means I need to run up there and kill them (otherwise they snipe the crystals)... While wasting my time there ( I play apprentice ) the other enemies tear into my defenses on ground level... not enough to break through before I get down there again, but enough such that I can't sustain them over time. How do you handle the Dark Elf snipers up top??

You need to have defenses at each of the four corners . Have a magic missile and fireball tower at those spots , then a lightning and fireball tower to cover the junction at the throne . Then lightning and fireball tower to cover each hallway . At this point I only have points for one lightning tower so I place that at the middle of the crystals . This arrangement means that the crystals are prone to wyvern attacks so I just stand on the crystal closer to the throne seats for the wave .
Use of the minimap is very essential as it allows you to see all the creeps that are currently on the map . Look out for wyverns and archers and the big heads(trolls) and give help to your defenses when they appear , that's about it .
And one more thing , it would be useful to just put blockades at the throne junction in the first round and leave a lone monster attacking a barricade so you can have some additional time .
