When can I get those void armor set? I'm level 15 now and my shop items are capped at tier 25 lambert set. Anyway I guess the only way gameloft's gonna fix this is via app update? And as long as we chose not to update we can continue to exploit this glitch.
I find it so very ironic that the same people who complain about a game being 'ruined' would then go and utilise a cheat to ruin it even further. You now basically have no game left at all. And in a further irony your willingness to steal is the very reason for the business model gameloft has adopted. I guess the entitlement mentality that prevents people from being able to wait for timers also encourages them to want the best equipment without earning it. If your ultimate goal was to get awesome 'loots' fast then I suppose you get your pay off. Thankfully, I'm enjoying the game, and enjoy the journey as the items mean nothing to me without the earning aspect. I just hope that gameloft manages to make enough money to develop the next entry.
I don't know about everyone else, but I actually think game's freemium is actually half decent. Y'know, the game isn't instantanteously broken upon getting void. Later on, void will be considered, well void. It isn't the strongest.
Yes that's right, moving between screens does move your selection, so my description above probably isn't so strict. It seems the key is to ensure the item is highlighted when the merge timer finishes - so whether you have to select it as soon as the merge starts or whether you could wait until 10 secs remaining, maybe doesn't matter
Well I for one will NOT be losing any sleep if your precious Gameloft dosnt make enough money out of this IAP infested RPG to fund the next Dungeon Hunter. You can praise it all you want or even try convincing us that its not that bad. Why on earth would you defend this business model? Do you really want ALL future console/PC/handheld games to be free with heavy IAP?? There used to be a time when gamers found cheats and exploits without being labeled "entitled". Now because the cheat/exploit is setup to require money, these gamers are scum right? Let them do what they want to. If your having a good time in your game without using a cheat, more power to you. Your not going to win a honor award.
Fair point. The way i see it is that the game is pretty buggy anyway, for example I've lost several high merged charms for no reason, having spent minutes then hours and more hours waiting for timers to finish, and spending a lot of time micro managing inventory getting those high level charms ready. And also I had to start all over again quite early on having grinded properly (and lovingly) to level 10 or so, as the game inexplicably crashed - enemies would not appear in arena and other levels wouldn't start,. so that was countless hours wasted. So it's bittersweet when a game that was obviously poorly beta tested ships with bugs against you and bugs in your favour. But it's kind of laughable that GameLoft managed to get the IAP pushing and constant reminders to buy/buy/buy 100% correct, but some fundamentals wrong. Glitch-aside,they definitely tested the aggressive IAP very well and put a lot of effort into the tutorial to make gem spending/speeding up seem oh so normal, and that was clearly their priority. Still enjoying it though, there is a decent game underneath all the noise - whether using earned or glitches gear.
I say the same. Besides, the game gets RIDICULOUS difficulty spikes without paying for anything, honestly. Warmage Academy, Wyrm's Nest, etc., etc. But, the previous post to your stating that we 'ruin it further by using a cheat' isn't even true. That was a bug that can be used as an exploit. Can we use it? Well, it's there. It lets us get the highest possible gear without buying for iAPs in the first place. I wouldn't even care if I got labeled 'entitled' to it, because it's Gameloft's fault that they let such a large error like THAT stick into place in the game. So, we aren't ruining it further. In fact, we use it because it lets us skip Grindfests so we could ADVANCE into the freakin' game. You ever think of that, Vestid?
I'm not defending it. I said that the stealing being discussed in this thread is ironically the stealing that resulted in the model in the first place. They introduced IAP to recover money from duped games, much like DLC on consoles, and now people are duping the IAP which will mean they have to change things again. To spell it out, it is not me enjoying the game that is promoting IAP, rather the dupers who don't pay their way.
I don't see it as advancing into the game, I see it as skipping the game. It's like reading the last page of a book (which you didn't pay for) to find out the end, just so you don't have to spend the time reading it. Reading the book, at least to me, is the interesting part, not the last page.
where does it say that getting one of the best gears automatically beats the game for you? I'm still at the weeping willows. You're not immortal with that armor y'know.
The point is that it is STILL Gameloft's fault for keeping such an error as that in the game. You say it's our fault. We have the proof to show you it's theirs. Us gamers have rights to use coding to it's furthest potential. And this coding issue falls under that same decree. We use it because we CAN, and it isn't illegal in any way BECAUSE of the fact that it is a coding error. If it were a hack, then what you said would be true. But this isn't a hack. It's a bug, and therefore, it is legal. Need I remind you that we have rights to every game we own, as there is a Terms of Use and Privacy Policy conditions to each game. BUT, as this isn't a hack, must I say again, it does not fall under condolences to legal action against you by Gameloft for using the game for an illegal way, such as hacking.
Hmm, it worked once for me and the void blades, now every time i try for any piece of armor, void or otherwise, it just crashes out, i restart and theres 20 secs left on the gem merge again...crashes out when i try again and the loop continues if i have any gear highlighted when the timer ticks down
Glad you're enjoying the game, although at a much faster pace than me . It sounds like you've found a way to adjust the difficulty to your liking although I think the developers original intention was for you to have to pay to do that. As i said in my original post, and as you seem to be enjoying the game, please do think about paying in some way so they can make the sequel and not have to make the pricing model any worse.
Not sure on the coding but would you steal a car if someone left the keys in it, and tell them it was their fault? Seems like a similar proposition. And as I mentioned before I believe it will negatively impact game pricing in the future.
Hello, that's a different subject. I use exploits in other games. And have I gotten in trouble with them or ruined the game for myself? NO. What counts is the replayability value for the game. Honestly, let exploiters use exploits, and let payers pay. That's far enough of a difference, and with the payments, AHAHA, no. Gameloft emphasizes FAR too much on spending for iAPs. I don't spend iAPs for games that emphasize it as an important thing. And DH4, is one of them. So just let this subject go, man. Otherwise this'll cause a controversy that this game doesn't even need.
Later on the difficulty does ramp up by quite a bit. You're going to need a boost or something. I plan on getting another character slot and a skill reset >_> that's about it. 5 bucks is all I'm using. Bosses probably have somewhere to oh I dunno, 100k hp? Although everyone has the choice of whether to use or not to use The glitch. I just can't wait until end tier armor
You sound like you work for them. Here is a plan that gets better results... Don't spend ANY money on the game! It's free! Just grind it out or use the glitch mentioned earlier, whatever. You hope by telling others to spend money it will make the next DH game any better (IAP wise)! LOL
No I don't, but the damage has been done and I'd prefer it to not get worse. If they find out people aren't paying for items they could easily start charging for in game minutes or per kill or per zone entry. My point stands that by skipping the pricing model, whether premium or now freemium, you force the developers have to adapt, and it can only get worse.
