sorry.. quoted for truth http://www.acronymfinder.com/Slang/QFT.html http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=QFT
This game is really good but it's going to find itself very unbalanced very quickly. Anyone with money to buy power packs to play the game will have a massive advantage over passing players. Already I've been up against a dude with a rocket lancher and some crazy armour. It's was nearly impossible to kill him. Also, 3 three minute games per battery charge isn't really enough. You should get more 6 or 7 games per charge.
Ngmoco appearantly doesn't realise that a greedy variant of a pay to play game usually isn't a succes. They also don't realise that games that allow people to pay 30USD to get 975:4=243,75 3 minute lasting games= 243,75 x3=731,25 minutes=12 hours, 11 minutes and 25 seconds of playtime / (975x1000=975000)sorry, made a little mistake there. 120PC=1000CR so (975:120)x1000= the amount of credits=8125CRcredits, aren't really games that people like. Just let people pay a monthly fee(6USD would be FINE!) to play infinite, and just find another way to let people even buy more stuff(wich will not give them an advantage) to make even more money! Great idea isn't it? E: Conclusion: 30USD equals +-12 hours of game play or 30USD equals exactly 8125CR wich would make you a quite high level(if payed credits would add levels) and give you all weapons and all armor, wich is almost the best you can get. An average person who plays 3 games a day and wins 80cr each time, achieves this in 81253x80)=34 days. 34 days is a month. Let's say it takes 10 minutes to buy all those power cells and buy CR with it. A person who constantly buys (wich would be ridiculous, but it's just to give you an idea of how much faster they level) that, could buy this 3896 times in the time it would take someone who doesn't pay for the game to get to the same level the paying person does in 10 minutes. This means they level 3896 times faster then someone who doesn't pay for the game. Well, I'm sure u will all agree that this is not fair.
What about all the online games on PC/PS3/DS/PSP/iPhone that DON'T require you to pay fees for "server upkeep?" Besides MMOs, there are pretty much NO games or online services out there that require fees like this. I have a feeling that's because games that DID try this business model failed because the market couldn't/wouldn't support it. I'll be honest, I don't know very much about server costs, but I can't imagine that running the servers for this game would cost any more than running servers for any other global online game which offers all online services and features included with the price of admission. Also, if the game were sold at $10, 1/6 the cost of most desktop console games (or 1/5 in the case of most PC games), the difference in price is bound to attract several times the customers of higher priced games just because it's that much cheaper. Bottom line, I don't think server upkeep is the reason for the pricing structure. I think it's just a money grab. To all you people who say you can still play the game for free, you aren't really getting to play the full game. I'd rather pay an upfront price for the game, whatever that may be, and get the full experience.
oh my god, i finally scrapped the standard autorifle and picked up the antimatter jet, and the difference is night and day. The damage is so much better, and i can shoot around corners. And my little energy balls can still kill people after i die. Yay!
haha damn that sounds awesome. Might have to purchase that mother sucker in like 2 months after i get enough credits, since im a cheapo and gotta wait for recharges!
earlier in the thread someone said they got free power cells, (I did too) but how did it happen or is it a glitch?
You get 30 cells once you get the app, automatically. So it starts out with $.99 of content. Also, did anyone else notice the huge banner ad for Eliminate in the US App Store?!?!?
You can't get 1000 credits per power cell, that's completely impossible. In one game online, you'd have to get 4000 credits in one match. You can exchange 120 power cells for 1000 credits. So $30 buys you about 8000 credits.
Saw it, also added some stuff that shows how unfair it is. 30USD=12 hours of gameplay 30USD=8125 credits-wich would make you level 3896 times faster than a normal person, if they als add the bought credits to ur level. It will also let you buy almost the best gear u can get.
Great job on the math! That proves exactly what I've said. Either they need to seperate paid players from non paid players or they need some kind of match making so that the levels arent to big. For example ; levle 1 to 3, then level 4-6 and so on.
I am at the point now that my skill is in the mid 3000's so I am being matched against people that are level 15-20 or higher, but, since I didn't buy energy, I am still only a level 8. While the skill levels may be the same as the people I am playing against, I am no match for their upgraded weapons and armor. I am all for them making money on their game, because it is a very good game. They deserve to make a profit. The people who pay are going to get a huge advantage, and with the current payment scheme, I can't justify paying so much for such a short amount of actual gameplay. Most pay to play games do a monthly fee allowing unlimited play in that time frame. $15 = 720 playable hours or so should you choose to take advantage.. For Eliminate it is at best 30$ = 244 games @ 3mins a game = 12 playable hours.. roughly. Too steep for me. I enjoy the game, but will not be able to continue playing if I continue to be matched by skill level with people who are MUCH higher level.
earlier had a match with skipper, he pwned me . sory i disconnected, had a powercut . 20 mins till charge!
Same here, I'm getting gang banged by lv30 fags ._.U (And I'm barely lv11) Their Uber Upgraded Weapons + The Lag I'm having right now = Epic Pwnage
