DAMN the rocket launcher is too good. Without any upgrades i'm destroying noobs in a couple hits. This is a great game, I was very skeptical of Eliminate being a short lived experience. But it does more then imitate full scale PC shooters, it actually offers the same gameplay, strafeing and dodging, camping spots, power ups. I'm all for this game succeeding. I think that the developer had to include this targeting system upgrade bit, but I also think players first starting out get a little discouraged because they can't aim, are slow, etc. Don't judge the game until you've upgraded a few times, it reeeally helps to get your speed and aiming improved.
So the only way you can play with friends is through a private match? That seems lame. Since they are able to program it so you can't get credits without energy, they should be able to make it so you can't get credits from friends in a normal death match. I assume this is the only reason you can't play with friends in a normal match (just let your friend kill you for endless credits). I hope they have plans for updates including team death match, capture the flag or even a new mode!! Great game though.
i tried this, and rebooted, still cannot purchase energy. It doesn't bother me anymore because I got to level 9 in just a couple days of casually playing it, and already have 1k credits. It won't take long before I have all the gear I need. And if the game forces me to save my own money, well thats fine too. Maybe ngmoco will address this issue in a future update, but I'm betting Apple has some extra security enforced on in-game downloadable content that forces them to shut out jailbroken users.
You will probably have to restore your device. That's what I had to do. Mine was jailbroken and I couldn't buy energy, so I just restored to the custom firmware and it worked!
i have upgraded to the max I can for now ... I use auto-rifle ,and plasma cannon , but seems like u're better in setting it on someone's head
Im sure somebody will make a crack for the energy and then it will become incredibly uneven but for now, Great Game!
Whats up with the new pricing on power cells? The case got cheaper and smaller and the crate got bigger and more expensive... Why did they do this? Does any of these chance the $/power cell rate?
anyone else experiencing, Eliminate overloading their WLAN router and causes it to jam up resulting in a reset of the router for it to work again?
So far I love eliminate, it feels like a quake 3 portable and that is very good, it also looks great and runs at a fair rate on my touch 2g. The energy thing is no problem to me but it does feel like it runs out way too fast, I would have prefered to earn half the credits but get twice the matches with energy in instead of 2-3 games then out of power for 4 hours. Also I like how we can make the right stick / aiming more sensitive but I would also love for the left movement stick to have the same treatment, to run full speed and strake I have to more or less shift my thumb to the middle of the screen, not good. I would have prefered a much smaller zone of movement. One more thing ( and I bet a lot of you have thought or said something about this ) but the extra power you can buy is quite expensive, 20 energy for 59p, that's only 2 games worth of energy, and if you want enogh power for what would seem like 12 games, it's £5+ ! I guess you can pay if you want the elite gear day 1 but that is the point of this game to me, once I get all the upgrades I want that will be it, endgame. Overall I love it, but I hope to see the game live on with more expensive ingame gear and rares which require a lot of saving up for, as a regular DM game it's only going to be fun for so long.
hey Chibi-Zed, you should join The Knights of Zed i don't know how good you are, but your name is perfect for it.
According to Pocketgamer, the $7.99 case of power cells, is worth a few days, or a few weeks of energized games, if you even it out.
