I have a question, if i have like 733 Pwer Cells and my bar is full, will time still give me more power cells?
You only get the timed power cells if your bar is not full. What I do if Im not gonna play is never leave my bar full.. Play a game, leave it 2/3's, and when you come back in a few hours, itll be full again Going to sleep on a full bar is a mistake. As soon as your bar is full, the clock stops.
I was about 10 seconds into a match when it said connection lost, rebooting the app I lost my energy :/
I started playing this game today (few credits away from level 6). I think it's the best online multiplayer FPS-game on iPhone, but then again, there isn't too much of competition. What I find strange is that Eliminate lacks some pretty fundamental features. Audio - Gunshot sounds doesn't fade with distance. Someone shooting right next to you sounds exactly same as someone shooting few tens of meters away from you. Many ppl shooting at the same time and you have no idea who's shooting who. Or who's shooting where. - No stereo audio (when using headphones)... Seriously. It''s year 2009 and 3D FPS-game comes out that doesn't have stereo audio? Not to mention 3D-positional audio - though that might be too much for iPhone to handle together with 3D graphics. Visual - Direction of damage indicator is somewhat unclear/non-specific. Instead of having all those random text and what not, it should be more simple and specific. - Health and ammo count aren't always visible. - No ammo count coloring when low on ammo. Health (and ammo) coloring could be white -> yellow -> red. - Only one crosshair. Color can't be changed. - Weapon visibility can't be turned off. - No screen alignment/flipping. Annoying to play on iPhone with headphones connected. Controls - Look "sliding" (swipe -> lift finger -> character continues to turn) can't be turned off, or anyway configured. - Movement control should be digital (on/off), not analog (adjustable speed). Or atleast give player the chance to choose. Way too oftenly I end up moving slower-than-max-speed while I would prefer to always go max speed. Or perhaps forward and backward movement should be digital and side strafing analog. - I think reload and weapon switching should be separate buttons. Other thoughts - Performance isn't smooth. Some stuttering happens here and there, even on iPhone 3GS (though jailbroken, but I don't have many "extra" applications running). Smooth performance is fundamental on deathmatch FPS-games. - Movement speed is like snail running in a friggin' tar field. Deathmatch games are usually faster than that. Though the movement speed can be upgraded, it's still annoying at the begginning. And I don't know what fully upgraded speed is like. - Maps are too small, and every map seems to have a clear central location. It makes maps feel like small square boxes where everyone is in the same spot shooting each other. - Jet Pack is annoying and I feel it's more of a punishment than a power-up. Overally, Eliminate is good (not great or awesome), but with some tweaks it could be even better. Also I'm not sure about the energy system. MMORPGs makes many enough players cry with their monthly fees, and ngmoco introduces similar system to a simple deathmatch? Interesting to see how it works out. Anyways, for a semi-free game it's pretty good, but I do hope that ngmoco continues to support and improve it.
ngmoco, when you do an update you should allow in the options for people to toggle the Jump and Pause buttons to be visible. I like to able to see them, im sure others dont though. I hate when i try to hit the jump button but can't see it and i miss it when tryign to time a run and jump
I'm level nine now, 1300 skill, got the rocket launcher . My plus account is called Aspalas, add me if you want!
