so just played a couple games with the AR..it basically sucks now. the ONE thing that made it a good wep [headshots] is now basically non existent. you die b4 you get enough headshots in.
but the AR was a weak weapon even with upgrades it's only advantage was the head shot damage and they took that away
ya but then i could be able to justify spending 1000+ credits on a skin and there will always be winers haha lol i bet he is in his basement crying about it right now
spent like 3K credits on the auto rifle a few hours... Guess I will go for vaporizer now, after the nerf to AR. I just don't understand how a sniper type weapon is more lethal up close then a shotgun type weapon.
Sooo I was thinking, if ngmoco didn't want to change the matchmaking system, what would everyone think of higher level players doing the damage equivalent to the opponents level? i.e. if you faced a level 40 when you're 20, he would only do the same damage as if his weapon were fully upgraded on your level. That make sense? Would balance the game well imo, without the need for a matchmaking rethink. I guess it would be harder to code though. edit: also, does anyone else feel that, while the beserker shield nerf is great, it's only a finger in the dam of a bigger problem? If the beserker shield exists, and people hog it, game play will revolve around dominating it's spawn point, regardless of length. It is easy enough to get away from now though (provided you're not really slow or opponent's really fast), I'm just nit picking really =P
Possibly, although they would still be effective against those of your level, but I get your point. What I've posted is a super rough version of a possible system to balance levels a bit, was just thinking of alternates to changing the matchmaking; cause I realised that while I don't stand much of a chance against most higher levels, I do enjoy the challenge and enjoy seeing how the pros play.
Ya, I guess I can't really judge. I'm only level 11, so o don't know what happens on higher levels. I know I did just buy the plasma/shotgun whatever it is because it seemed like my upgraded AR wasn't cutting it any longer.
