It's cause he couldn't find a way to cheat. Give him like a week and he will be on top again.... His goal in life is to be on top of leaderboards.
Well, looks like this thread is finally dying out. I have to say that I played Eliminate again recently after NOVA, and I've decided to completely remove Eliminate from my iPhone. It just isn't fun anymore. The rocket launcher is pervasively spreading like a bad cancer, and it's just gotten to a ridiculous point. Too many guys spamming rockets, most of them aimed randomly at the ground or off somewhere but seemingly the intended target, but when there are 3 guys doing it it creates a cacophony of explosions everywhere that it just kills everything and everyone. Where's the real skill in that? It's gotten to a point where the gameplay is just flat out ugly, and frankly, boring. I admit that I nerf'd my skill at one point from the 7000s to the 100s to level up quicker due to upgrade cost hike and crazy matchmaking that had me consistently playing 15, 20 levels above where I was at the time. But what I found interesting, and quite ironic, during that journey was finding that a lot of those noob folks down there, despite being a bit slow and predictable with their movements, had better aim than I see a lot of level 35 or whatever players running in circles just throwing rockets anywhere. It's just a shame that with the new increased credit reqs for upgrades, which I was a bit surprised to see again that they jacked it up so much, it becomes that much harder for those folks to move up. The worst part of the rocket spamming in this game though is that it absolutely kills my iPhone to a grinding halt, which makes the game essentially unplayable (especially on Tank and Flood). Although I do have some issues I have with NOVA lagging on a few of the multiplayer arenas at times because I have a 3G, it actually runs consistently better than Eliminate even with better graphics and a larger arena on my 3G. Go figure.
Its good time to play!!! No terroris no expandin no ganebabe no dvessel, just up your skill level.. without any problems. ) thank you Nova, nova - bad controls, compare with eliminate..
Im there with ya brotha. I was all about Eliminate when it was first release, but it seems as though they are getting more greedy as the days go by. They have already banked on Eliminate, yet they want to make it even more difficult to reach higher levels. This making it more a requirement to buy power cells. I also despise the rocket spamming that takes place in Eliminate, as it seems everyone and their brother now owns one and just fire random shots into rooms until they kill something. NgMoco has got to do something soon, or risk Eliminate being an extreme fail. Nova is an awesome game, and I am excited over the single player factor of the game (as well as multiplayer). I think if Eliminate added a single player campaign similar to that of Unreal Tournament there would be much more replay value. But the fact that I cannot use my guns in offline bot matches drives me nuts...
I don't understand the price hikes. Not at all. I have even less desire to try to reach higher levels, as now I have no chance of building up a secondary weapon. I agree about rocket spamming, it requires minimal skill and is used by tons of mid-level people who can't aim. It also affects performance on my iphone 3G. Another effect of NOVA is to make Eliminate matchmaking even worse. With less players on Eliminate at all levels, the differences in matches seem to be getting greater. I had my first match vs. a level 50 today (I've just reached 20) and it was utterly pointless. The only advantage is that I still lost skill, so maybe I'll get in put in with some hapless level 5s next time.
True. Sometimes all I can do is watch myself being thrown around in the air by three of those rocket launching morons.
I was thinkin' the same thing! (Me myself, i play NOVA. Just barley got into the third level of the single player...been playing multiplayer too much. lol xD)
Thread is definitely slowing down. Personally, after playing nova, every once in a while i TRY to play eliminate. Then maybe once a day even if i still have energy, i dont use it all up.
I still prefer Eliminate over Nova. It's much more intense. But I have a complaint. Ngmoco updated the prices of weapons AGAIN! Now instead of like 800 credits for an upgrade it's 1170 or so. Damn.
Update 1.2 has got to come pretty soon, especially with ngmoco losing all of its Eliminate players to NOVA.
They never lost me to NOVA. I enjoy both and do not discredit either game. I still think ELIMINATE has a way better control scheme.
yes it has a way better control scheme but the unbalances in elimiante is crazy and the rl spammers. if it was based on lvl instead of skill i would be still playing but it is all a bunch of lvl 50s who lower theri skill level so they can destroy some lvl5 noobs. and not to metion the power cell deal. they beter do something big in 1.2 or this game will be done by 2010.
