I think you're right. I've noticed exactly the same thing. For me it's Terrorist... I usually tend to lag in 7/10 matches but with him in the game it's the worst ever. I lag mostly when playing against American/Canadian players. If I play right now, where most of you guys sleep and therefore against European opponents 80% of the lag is gone. It lags somewhat but that's ok, it's not like I can't aim or look around. I remember when I played against terrorist I didn't even have a chance to look around and notice him. Once I saw him I was already gone, it's that bad. So I think that's exactly the problem. I don't understand how the network works but I'm sure playing against European opponents and we all get matched by the Amsterdam servers. Playing against American players there are two servers in between I guess.
I also noticed that the game lags far less if you play against lower level players since there are far more of them and you will probably get matched with people in your area. After I demolished my skill on my noob account I was thrilled to find out that the lag was mostly gone because a) they are not that far upgrade with those infiltrator armors and can't run too fast. b) They move less than higher skilled players. c) they can't throw 10000 rockets at the same time like upgraded player do. and d) they don't care about winning too much and some just leave the match, so there are only 1-2 opponents usually. So right now is like playing against bots but it's far more fun actually because of the lag-free gameplay. I don't know when I had this much fun playing for the last time, but after 20 lag-free matches yesterday I start to love Eliminate again. It's simply one of the most advanced and complex games in the AppStore. A great overall achievement by ngmoco.

@Sinned Danke Unsere server sind in Amsterdam und ngmoco hat jetzt auch einige Tests gemacht bezüglich deren Leistung. Ich denke das ist halt echt das Problem, dass wir evtl. dann auf dem US server landen wenn wir mit Amis spielen oder wir sind an unterschiedlichen Servern verbunden und die US Server sind einfach die Hauptrechner und deswegen haben die dort dann einen Vorteil. Hab jetzt aber gemerkt, dass es besonders schlimm ist wenn man gegen Amis spielt. z.B. zu ruckelt es bei mir morgens viel weniger als Abends. Hab jetzt mein skill level gesenkt und spiele zwar gegen n00bs aber es macht wirklich mehr Spaß, da es kaum ruckelt. Dein skill level kannst du wirklich schnell wieder aufholen. Hab gerade am Anfang viel zu sehr auf mein skill level geachtet und irgendwann macht es dann auch kein Spaß mehr.

It's not about gaining skill it's about having fun playing. I've created a new account and play this game from the beginning with no followers etc. That's the most fun you can get from the game. After lvl 50 there's no reason to level up since your favorite gear is maxed out then. I'm like lvl 74 on my expandin account and it takes me 6000 to get to 75 then it's like 10000 from 78-79... even if you play half a year you will still be like at lvl 80 or so. So who cares? I have like 30 000 credits saved up, not knowing what to spend them on currently. Most of the fun for me was playing it from lvl 1-50... after I reach lvl 50 on my noob account guess what I will do...I will get another noob account and do that all over. PLUS there's less lag playing against n00bs. You can't imagine the lag we are experiencing here in Europe... if you had that lag you would have quit already. The problem is the mods and upgrades are just not compatible with the connection and servers right now... the infiltrator + speed power up + speed prototype is way too fast ... I don't even see those players it's that bad.

What u don't see is that to someone who can't see the smile on your face or the sarcasm in your voice, when u say the things u say, they get taken out of context. And these days lag hasn't been my issue. It's glitching. Has anyone experienced where u get the feeling that ur being controlled by someone else? Like it happened to me while playing jkopp, who is a savage btw. But I took my hands off of my device and my guy continued to move. Like he would fly through walls and just appear at different places. It's pretty odd. That's the worse, u can compensate for lag, not that shit tho.

But it doesn't happen to you like all the time... the lags are always persistent. It sucks to know you are aiming correctly but your opponent is meters away from the stop you think he is...then he reappears right behind you...next frame you're gone. It happens all the time and even if you're playing on GodMode you won't have a chance against people having a better connection..it sucks to know that you cannot enjoy a game you pay the same price for as others who have a better experience. If energy in Europe was 5 times cheaper I would say ok that's because we have 2 servers in Europe and they have 10 in the US. We have had these glitches here too... I was even running like 1 meter above the floor. Then I say people flying in the air without the power up. But it doesn't disturb that much.
Didn't ngmoco made enough money out of this game to set up some decent dedicated servers here in europe? There are some free mods that manage to get a good server.. The lag here in germany is really annoying. I'll change my itunes review.
Yeah it is... the further you level up the worse the lag you will get. I'm not sure if that's the server or the weed the administrators in netherlands are smoking... White Widow anybody? White Widow kills the lag completely...that's why the gameplay is ok for the administrators in the Netherlands. Imagine FPS Doug on White Widow playing counter strike.
To be fair Honestly I would say I lag 1/3 games I play. And when I say lag I mean to the point of unplayable. Not just slow here and there. That's constant here. The glitching only happens 1/20 games I think and how can that not b as bad as laggin? With lag at least u can try to compensate! With glitching u just don't control anything, maybe u don't know wat im experiencing. And I've been doing some tests with servers based on where players are from. If u are experiencing lag add me as a friend so I can do some test: just simple having certain people on from certain areas is all. 2 servers? Thts fkin shty! God I wish I knew more about servers and networks. That way I could try to help get rid of this issue. Would love to see this game run flawlessly. It's got so much god damn potential, and it feels wastes cause it becomes unplayable.
