Right now, I think Mag Rail is the best weapon out there, but only if you've got it upgraded a lot. I only started using it as my main weapon once I hit rank 75. Now I'm almost at 80, it really rocks. Much more fun to play with than the Vap, and far more deadly than a Titan (although that's still fun occasionally, and good for credit-farming). The vap is a bit of a whore to use when you're only at rank 29, but it's probably your best option at this point. I still use it with my secondary account (Rank 42), occasionally switching to a mag proto for some variety.
Is the vap being a whore at my level a good thing, or a bad thing? M0ar 1nf0 pl0x I would totally use the Mag Rail IF I HAD THE PRO VERSION. Damn the crappy junior version that would become obsolete vs Mag Rail pros. Wow! That's pretty impressive, a level 80 and 42.
Yeah, Tank is just really damn chaotic, with everyone gettin bashed left, right and centre. It's beyond a joke - you seem to spend more time frantically evading bashers than shooting anything. well, that or you're doing the bashing
being a whore is definitely a bad thing - not sure how that could mean something good, but hey, different strokes for different folks lol. I mean the vap handling is pretty annoying at a low-level of upgrades. Not sure how the mag rail jr compares as I've never used that. Just the pro and the mag prototype VIII, which is pretty good. I'd say stick with the vap for now til you rank up some more. With my rank 42, I use Vap (sometimes mag prototype VIII), Hook and Sniper armour (and have done since rank 20 or so). I use infiltrator, hook and mag rail pro for my 79, with a speed mod. That's great fun.

Oh yeah, the handling sucks. I don't bother with protos or mods, just a waste of creds in my opinion. I have Plasma Cannon as my second weapon because I used to use it in conjuction with Tanker, and am now too cheap to buy a G Hook. I REALLY wish I had the Mag Rail pro :/ Just got rank 30 yay
I too hope the Mag Rail Pro comes back for sale next week. How many times has it been available anyways? Just once?
To my knowledge, only once. My hopes for a Mag Rail pro are shattered unless it comes back in a month or so :/
