Weapon damage adjustment & reselling weapons... Hey guys, I find it somewhat interesting the back and forth adjustments of weapons by Ngmoco. Factor in the upcoming "weapon sale back" capability and it suggests something to keep in mind. It seems, based on comments during the time, that ngmoco hasn't exactly been balancing the weapons so much as they have been 'pushing' fanatics toward purchases. IE, when everyone realizes that Vaps are 'the weapon to have', they only spend credits on it and don't even buy other weapons. Then a tweak and all of sudden RLs and devastors seem too powerful and lots of people started buying and upgrading them. It seems this has occurred 3-4 times over the past year ("X seems weak now, doesn't it?; Y is killing me all of a sudden, you?") Then a tweak that seemed to tone down RLs, but added in Magrails. However, Magrails didn't seem to catch on that strongly (based on initial use seen at various levels) at first, but now with Vap toned down a bit more and more are going magrail. Some are now picking back up the pro RL's as they seem 'more powerful' all of a sudden. It dawned on me when I read how several people were mad because they managed to sell some weapons during the brief period it worked, but are frustrated that they've sold 'the wrong thing'. I suspect ngmoco might do very well continuously adjusting weaponry such that a good chunk of players get caught in the "well, I can sell this item for at least 3K credits, losing ~12K, but gets me a jump on 'the hot new thing'..." IE, there are people that can't stand to lose or wait. They'll sell something that used to be the best weapon to get 'the latest and greatest'; then when that's beat by something else, repeat. I don't think they're balancing as much as they are looking at stats which show them the meat of their money-making business and how to keep that revenue stream growing. Nothing really wrong with that, per se, but I'd consider hanging onto weapons for a few months and see how things pan out...
shield Bashing Ok so I have tried to do the "ethical" thing and not run around and shield bash, I have come to realize that it really is a noob move, but that only resulted in me dropping skill from 7100 to 6500. What fock do I do. Be ethical or just fly off the handle?

As far as the shielding goes, what u amjace to userstand is that playing a match and not using shields is a skill all on it's own. Last night I was playing atrxstar and I had to 9-0 him cause he kept grabbing shield. I tried to show him not to grab it but he kept going anyway. So I got pissed and he didn't even land a hit after ny third kill. It all comes down to learning an evasive pattern for running from shielders. If u can do that and make sure u have a couple of them so they don't get used tothem and go the opposite way, shields will become much worse against you.
Fly off the handle. Don't make it your primary weapon, though...just make sure it can't be theirs. If not, you get screwed.
Lol foley, that's all keisar does. Ever. Plain. And. Simple. Perr don't teach them that. If u want to play ethical but don't want to be bashed then u have to be able to get to the shield first and ten to anohter powerup. Just use it to be invincible and get another powerup.
Al, I wasn't teaching him anything wrong...I didn't say "Go all Endlessbasher" on em...but grab the damn things before they can. What you do with it afterward is your call. Sometimes I'll bash right back, most of the time I'll grab another powerup - just depends on who I'm playing.
Is anyone else having problems with adding recruited? I should have two. And I have also noticed that there have been no new people on the leaderboards for recruiting for the last couple days
Here is my take on things: Being "ethical" doesn't mean no bashing. Period. The berserker shield powerup was implemented as a shield, and also to do mass damage. While I hate when people bash a lot, if someone bashes me once in a match, I'm fine with that. Two times from the same person in the same match is on the edge, and three is just ridiculous.
Jchandler... Amen. I was thinking the same thing but never in my life could I have put it as eloquently is that. For now, the titans are getting their glory, but come the next update or subsequent ones well see them start to diminish in power
Co-op coming soon now? It's been soon like 3 years ago. Dont think my iPod existed at that time haha. But no, I just haven't heard anymore news.
