Developers regularly test alpha (incomplete but playable) builds with a selective audience. I can tell you from experience that, as helpful as it is to the developer, it's really not that much fun for the player.
As to tato online stalker, please don't quote or respond to his postings -- just report them as soon as you seen them. I'll remove his posts as quickly as I can.
Thanks square. My original post stated alpha or beta builds. For someone to play a build if the game it was prob a alpha.

I've played an early alpha build of this a few months ago. At that point, they were changing the targeting reticule and my build ended up missing one altogether, so I can attest to it being less fun than you might expect. I actually posted some impressions of my short time back then.
Aren't we all. Here's hoping he never makes it on to a jury because his totally blind to any form of obvious evidence. Agreed. Years ago I thought alpha/beta testing would be a great way to get early hands on unreleased stuff just for fun. Had a few false starts with that particular attitude until I learned its a far more serious thing that's meant to help the developer and ultimately those that are going to play it. It turned out to be a fascinating process watching the changes and just staggering amount of work from devs to go from an Alpha to final. And just hugely educational. But does require actual work. Well worth doing for anyone that has the opportunity, you will learn a lot with the right dev.
Yes, Actually, most of players aren't ready for anything before beta builds. It's like watching a movie with lots of glitches before it came out, it completely changes the first impression (which is very important). However, the guys that watch that stuff from a technical stand point (developers, QA engineers) have a different POV of that process. I do agree, isn't funny for the player but it benefits us a lot (and the player in the long run).
Alright...one more thing: This has gotten out of hand. Begging for the gameplay video and pestering tato about it will not make it come any sooner. When it's ready, it'll be here. ANY FURTHER POSTS REQUESTING THE GAMEPLAY VIDEO WILL BE DELETED. If your post has been deleted and you continue to post about it, appropriate action will be taken.
