You are correct, the video was to show facial animations, not Rose voices.

We are trying give you small info about the game without leaking it too much. All the stuff that you see here, are not in their final state. We constantly improve them and change them for the better. At least it give you an idea. ;)

When is your free "demo" coming out. You said this summer, so I presume later this month or early September?

We are targeting this coming winter.
It could be anywhere between end 2010 - early 2011. I know it sounds like lot of time, but we are taking the time to well polish the game, add extra details to every single part/system on the game to make it as much better as we can. But again, if we need more time to extra-polish the game, we will go for it.
You know, when you spend lots of time developing a game, it doesn't matter if you add few extra months to polish or make it better. :)
    Cheers,

New images soon. I don't think videos will be necessary as the playable demo is around the corner. ^^

The vids show a gameplay reminiscent of one of my favorite Xbox 360 console games, the Condemned series. Creepy atmosphere, trapped in the shadows most of the time with your path illuminated by very little light, with a creepy-cool, ambient soundtrack layering in a thick, ominous vibe on-top of the slick visuals and well-placed scream out loud, jump out of your seat, eye-popping action.

This game is due to come out soon, eh? The first page indicated a Spring-Summer 2010 and summer's about over. Any update from the dev regarding when this game breaks free onto the unsuspecting world?

All that's releasing this summer is a playable demo. The rest of the game is due before the end of the year.

    Hello ColeDaddy,
    Tanks for your comments!:)
We got inspired from major survival horror games! We are 100% devoted on this project. We are working hard day and night, to bring you one of the best survival horror game for the iPhone. We delayed Forgotten Memories because there is more levels/characters/features on the game right now. Gameplay time is also bigger.
We are polishing every single aspect of the game and making the game even better. Those videos at the first page are olds demos. The game now is not only graphically better but technically improved by miles! We have our own mocap system running pretty well. Every characters have real-time facial emotions and all our cinematics have realistic body animations and lip-sync animations! Cinematics will play in real-time.
Even the eyes are animated in real-time! Eg, if you are close to an object or something that the character can interact to, the character will not only look at but also the eyes will rotate towards realistically and quite smoothly. :)
Is incredible how eyes animation adds a lots of realism in a game. :)
On the other hand (also not seen in the old videos), environment transition is done in real-time, there is one big loading and zero wait time in-game! There's no loading time in-game! If you open a room door, you can see the room interior (with lightings and props) from the outside!
You can also hide from enemies behind/inside almost any object! You can interact with almost everything! Enemies can also open a room door and search for you in that room! We pushed our AI knowledge limits quite far. Enemies are pretty smarts! :)
The game offers a very good variety of weapons, but don't spec to blow some enemies head with a magnum, cause it wont happens, is not a shooting game, is not about zombies, is about chase and evade, hide and seek, is about psychological fears! Every single aspect in this game is build around the "fear" itself. FM is a pure psychological survival horror game.
The public demo only shows few levels/features and is quite large! About 340MBs! The entire game should be around 1,5GB. It will provably be the biggest iPhone game ever done!
If you take a look from page 9 (on this thread), till page 30, you'll find more info, pictures and videos about Forgotten Memories.
I'll post more stuff soon! ;)
    Cheers,

Forgotten Memories graphics and animations are pretty nice. Characters are low poly but they all have normal/specular maps to add zillions of details.
Real-time lights on the game are pixel. Zero vertex blocky lighting. :)

This is provably the first time this thread got a bump so i think it wasn't necessary to notify that bumb as you are also bumping it when making your advice but tanks anyways for the advice you've done.
I'm keeping an eye very closely on this thread and I'll do my best to avoid people's unnecessary bumps.
    Cheers,
