hey guys. i’m taking a look at this forum a decade later and remembering the time in my life where i had a billion online friends.

i know none of them will probably ever read this, but nonetheless i felt the need to make a post. i was a wide eyed middle schooler during the transition from 1.9 to 2.0 when the community really began to flourish. to be around and online during that simple time is something i forgot how to feel. it’s so cool reading all the old posts and seeing familiar names pop up.

i can’t remember everyone, but to name a few: kronos, pyropenguin, goldian, creativeguy, zab100, edenharley, abc, great128, zerocoronator, last125, sup3p, and agentJDN is the farthest my nostalgia will remember.

i’m getting ready to graduate college in a couple months. it’s been interesting to see the evolution of the community and think on my time within it, regardless of the lack of impact i had. i hope you guys are doing well. i go by 2krisp on discord if you wanna catch up.

oh yeah, and fire in the hole or whatever. i don’t understand this game anymore but dash was a fun level lol

edit: i have to do this as a sign off from the time i spent here, for the long forgotten TeamTA era (arguably the best time to be here…) so here goes.

Wow I did a lot of dumb stuff here didn't I?

Nonetheless, to say I had a lot of fun would be an oversimplified expression of my history in this place.

Maybe I'm talking into a void, maybe no one will read this, but I'll leave my mark here anyway. I've grown a lot over the past decade. I'm no longer the clueless, arrogant, spoiled brat that I was back then. And maybe I'm still not perfect today either. But I'm striving to become better, each and every day. And to those I may have hurt with my immature behavior, I'd like to place here my sincerest apologies, but I also wish to express that those actions weren't done by me, but rather by past me.

I was a member here since update 1.9, when people were super hyped about update 2.0 and its moving blocks and brand-new level editor. (Yeah, I've been around a long while.) Back then, there was no "slop" or "AI" or "brainrot" or any of those trendy things these days. Golly do I miss the earlier days of the Internet. During that time period, right here in this special place, it was nothing but passionate hype and positive energy. And sure, this place has had its share of drama and negativity at times, but such squabbles were just temporary. I remember the lennies, the MLG memes, the cookies, the cat memes, the frequent RobTop Q&A's. I was too spoiled to appreciate it back then, but I'm so grateful for how many times RobTop acknowledged and responded to my suggestions and ideas; I think that's super duper cool. At the same time, I wish to be an influential game dev myself. I don't know if I'll be as influential as RobTop, but I'll try my best to positively impact as many as I can.

Yeah, I'm a game developer. I began my journey at the start of 2025, where I learned Unreal Engine. Then, in the last quarter of that year, I made the sudden choice to switch to Godot. As much as I love Unreal, I feel that Godot is more suited for my needs, and I like that it's open-source and community-driven. So I've been working with it since then. [EDIT: Actually, now I'm thinking about just sticking with Unreal since Godot is lacking support in certain areas lol. But I haven't fully decided on that yet. Oh the fun of choosing a game engine...] Anyway, all that being said, I'm quite proud of myself that I learned two game engines in one year. Currently working on an upbeat, lighthearted physics-based shooter game.

To those who may potentially come across this, I give you the following tips of wisdom that I've learned. The world may be a harsh, difficult place these days. It may seem like things are only getting worse and worse. But it's important to never let go of the positive things that you get to experience, and to constantly give them the acknowledgment and appreciation that they deserve. Since 2022, almost every day I've been writing down good things that have happened, even if they may be small. I challenge you to write at least 3 positive things every day, no matter how big or small they may be. It could be something big like overcoming a tough challenge or having fun with friends, or something small like having people who love you, eating yummy food, access to clean water, being able to see colors or hear music. Maybe it's even getting out of bed. And if you feel you don't have much to look forward to in your life, I say add positivity to your life, whatever that might mean for you. Maybe it's picking up a new hobby. Or perhaps picking back up something you once enjoyed as a kid. Maybe it's joining an interesting club at school, or a nonprofit that you care about, and meeting new people through doing so. Maybe it's trying to attain a lifelong goal. Whatever route you may choose, and whether you stick to one route or try many different ones, you may just find unexpected joys that you never would have imagined were possible.

For me, I picked up a lot of different hobbies. I got into music composing, 3D modeling, game development, story writing. And just recently, I got back into drawing and animating, which I once did as a kid. I also got into some new games as well, namely Minecraft, Terraria, Pizza Tower, and Ultrakill. All of those things have brought so much joy to my life, and I can't imagine my life without them.

Starting out on something new may be difficult and daunting at first. But ultimately, the trick is to just *do something*. *Anything*. Keep doing things, come back to doing it on a consistent basis, be very patient. Resist social media. But above all, find joy in doing it, and if you can't, that may be a sign to try something else.

One last thing. And it's actually related to Geometry Dash. If anyone is familiar with Rivals of Aether -- it's basically like Super Smash Bros. -- you may know that it has a MASSIVE roster of playable characters, thanks to its community-driven Steam workshop. Well, as it turns out, I've actually made Geometry Dash Cube a playable character, and its available on the game's workshop right now! I've always felt like Geometry Dash Cube had massive potential as a fighting game character, so I couldn't pass up the chance to share all of my ideas for it to the world. If you're interested, my character is here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3335506517

Anyway, that was one massive ramble. I don't even know if this will reach anyone. But I just wanted to leave this here, in the place that has been a large part of my life. I will never forget this community. It may seem quite barren nowadays, but if you couldn't tell by the page count, there is a *lot* of history to this place. (Actually, there used to be *double* the amount of pages, believe it or not! Idk what happened to them all though. EDIT: just found out that there are more posts per page now, so that explains it lol.) If anyone is reading this, I invite you to consider some of my advice if you feel it could help you. But if you're already doing just fine, I encourage you to keep it up.

(Also, first post of 2026 )

Yo, I remember you! TeamTA was a lot of fun. It's a shame our megacollab was never finished, but at least we made a lot of valuable memories while making it, right? Happy to hear you're graduating college in a few months, I wish you best of luck going forward in your life. TeamTA forever!!

No way it's Chief Logan! I remember you too. Hope all is going well with you.
