Arg you have me all wrong. I never said admins that got hired didn't deserve to be hired and don't have skills and just got hired by being in an admin guild. I'm saying that admins will only notice you if you are in an admin guild or have access to face book or forums. I, for one, do NOT have access to facebook. People who got hired DO have skill, but I just think it would be better if admins looked for candidates in more places than just their own guilds and facebook.
@gwctennis, I can clearly estimate you did not work on any playerworld or gold servers, only the iPhone Player made servers that is usually full of abusive staff in most cases. Gwfcctennis/XAzier: You hired Berries/Skillcape because he was your boyfriend or girlfriend. I had to influence you to fire him because he literally abused every power she had including dragging. You probably helped out on Legend, Exoria, and Jamesjames, maybe even more, but you know most staff on those servers were very immature in some ways and usually attempt to set my head as a penis (don't you remember Fatedog?). I attempted to redo the whole gmap's outside land to fix all the tile errors and too well arranged grass edges (they looked like squares and rectangles), but Fireen did not help with my issue with controlling the random gps that they don't even need. (seriously, a GP on a server with max population of players going to 7?) Oh no they had about 3+ gps, and LATs only knowing how to use online editor and no knowledge of simple scripting and offline editor in most situations. I think they had no scriptors working there. Devjamesjames is where I discussed before about someone, maybe fatedog or Pravus abusing the RC privileges and editing my attributes to set my head as a inappropriate private part. Kind of how I requested to improve their server, they said yes, but I quit once I saw random idiotic staff. Gwfcctennis, you're a very mature person and if I ever owned a server or something, you'd be one of my first choices to hire (even though servers are a waist to buy ) Just wanted to correct you about you "understanding" what it's like being a staff on a 1500+ playercount then a 5+ playercount server. @Nursie, I don't think I talked about that part in my discussions.
(can't edit the below paragraphs) I'd like to add: The only reason I was staying on Nerv was because Forkk understanded what abuse is, and how to act as a boss/manager. He kept everything under control, it was such a paradise there and probably the best iPhone server. He had skilled Scriptors, and LATs, which one of those influenced me how to work and make better levels. Most of you probably remembered Nerv as a silly fail server, but once all those GPs and abusive LATs were fired, Forkk even noticed a huge difference. Later, Forkk was influenced by some trolls and talked him into remaking the server. He fired his best staff, and all of them, but not his girlfriend named Jobistekos who apparently are just met by internet relationships. Never knew 11 year olds keep these types. I felt pretty bad, and so did Redsox and others. Later then, Forkk regretted his decisions and wanted everyone back. Everyone who worked there including me and redsox denied him. I hope he learned his lesson though.
Those are the best options, because it filters out the unwanted people. No jerks or in lack of a better work "noobs" can come in and ask dumb questions. There guilds normally consist of people who are in lack of a better word "better" than most people because of there maturity and attitude. If there PMs was toggled on, they would get spammed irrelevant questions, or be harassed. Facebook is easy to ignore someone who is noobish, and staff guilds normally contain the better half of graal and not the harassing immature players. It's not easy to look any where else, Skype contacting has got to be the easiest way to talk to a staff. Or communicate with one through another player. Most of the staff have me added, so I can communicate with them for you provided the topic of the conversation is relevant.
I asked out Berries after I hired her. Btw, shes a girl. I didn't know she would be so abusive so I had to do the hardest thing I'd ever have to do in graal history: Fire my girlfriend. Ill respond to the rest of the quote in another post.
I think that last sentence backs up my statement earlier even more. If I know what it's like on a 27 playercount server (check graal stats, its in top playercount ever), It must be even harder and more rewarding on a 1500+ server. Sadly however if you dont recieve recognition for your work on a 27 p/c server, it must be terrible to not receive recognition for your work on a 1500+ server. And about your first statement, yes I do work mostly on development servers. I like to get them running and help them through the process. Maybe one day I'll apply for a spot on a Classic or Gold server but for now I enjoy getting servers going. And back on what you said about the "immature servers", yes, I have worked on servers immature beyond belief and servers where staff abuse beyond believe (finest example has got to be JamesJaames) but thats why I'm there. I have to correct there mistakes so there server isn't the trash of the Graal world. Potato staff didn't know how to do a single thing (literally none of the staff there could do a single thing, there only level was the .graal osl) and I came in and taught the owner RC functions and more. Now its renamed Reaction, the owner knows how to do a lot and there co-owner is one heck of a LAT.
Haha I had to come in with Mattkan and teach them how to make cliffs. I was able to be hired on Ruins but it's kind of boring there, don't know why. But I agree that working and helping out the Dev servers can be annoying but fun. My requirements for someone to hire me on a Dev server is firing those who don't respect me when I respect them, and those with immaturity and abuse. (respectment is the key to a friendly staff team)
