YESS!! i think even though this game is free now if woulnd't be i think i wouldve bought it anyways great game and gives me a lot of sence of nostalgia feels really good to play a game like this ahhh, now back to playing !!
not always. Sometimes they're up to 72 hours or more. But usually 48 hours. If it's hot damn title then 24, but weirdly Death Rally was 24.
By the way, I sent a message to the devs a while ago, and they said that they have no plans on having a universal version, but they have plans on a universal version for the SEQUEL.
So I made it. But I was rather disappointed when I found out how frustrating this game can be. Towns are really far apart, but potions and stuff are expensive. So stocking up isn't really an option and you can't just blitz from town to town and stay in the inns either. And since you can't use items in battle and running normally takes about four attempts to work, you have to go into every battle excepting to lose and I'm sure most of this becomes obsolete once you get further in the game. But I keep dying in the same place and having to load it again. And its a lot of progress I lose each time, if I die again, I'm just gonna delete it off my device.
Well I've been playing a bit up to the forth Guardian here are my thoughts on it It has that old Dragon Warrior feel about it which is great but I founds some flaws that don't necessarily break the game but they take away from it 1 Items can't be used in battle 2 the tonic which has both HP and MP is priced ridiculously high from the start this usually the cheapest thing in RPGs 3 the battle screen is a bit too small 4 this is a big one...... you never miss in battle. You basically keep attacking till you of you dies so there's no getting lucky because they missed one time allowing you to gain the upper hand. This was a major letdown it meant I could close my eyes and keep hitting attack without fear Don't get me wrong its a great throwback to the great games of the past but in this battle I have to give it to Dragon Fantasy hands down, fight your first enemy and you will be hooked.Where it out shines Dragon Fantasy is the equipment/items layout and its a longer game Dragon Fantasy has heart you'll see what I mean soon
Shame on you running from a battle (kidding) I had heard how frustrating this game was but it not bad at all (the no items in battles sucks) just build you level up near town and use the heal spell while saving up for tonics since you never miss in battle you can gauge the outcome by how much damage each hit takes So fight /sleep /grow. don't delete defeat. Just some friendly advice I've only died once with three Guardians down
All of these I can agree on, except 3. Why give us items if we can only use them out of battle? It almost makes them totally useless. Why is the tonic so frickin' expensive? At the start of the game, when you die quickly, deal little damage and have little MP for the heal spell I'd like to be able to afford more than one or the game becomes unnecessarily frustrating. And yeah, the fact that there are no battle animations and no battle wildcards except things like surprises or critical attacks made the battles really tedious. And grinding is never exactly fun, but you can at least make it look it. But if I grind from outside the town all there are, are the snails and tree stump things. Surely it'll take me hours to level up once I've done a couple of levels?
You level up a few levels then move on to the next town and do the same never run its like wasting a chance to strike plus it almost never works
This game is not more than "hours long" altogether. You may have to do some minimal grinding but I didn't find it too overwelming. Once you level up a few levels you should easily be able to advance to the next area with buffer monsters who reward greater experience points.
