It has been submitted according to the devs. It is a lot like the Eye of the Beholder, only with convenient interface, minimap, good-looking sprite graphics, really nice music and without DnD mythology behind it. But illusionary walls, secret passages, pressure plates, well-designed puzzles, etc. are to be had aplenty. Oh, and it isn't one huge dungeon - there are lots of varied outside areas.

There will be a pretty generous Lite, too, with a save transfer into the full game. Anybody who professes love for WRPGs is obligated by higher powers to try this one, IMHO :).

I had to quote this dumb comment from him, even though it was a month ago or so. The quest has WAY more then 50 hours in the game itself, no expansions added, way more with the expansions. LMAO to you for saying such a stupid thing. :S

Funny you should say all JRPGs in the appstore are low quality, as they seem to be the ones getting all the attention. Personally I played Baldur's Gate for 3 and a half minutes and deleted it, it was like an animated textbook. Some countries are just not suited to make RPGs, period; there's a reason why almost all MMORPGs come out in Korea or China, and most action games come out in America.

You realize, of course, that the whole concept of RPGs (both computer based and otherwise) was invented in America. Still, I would agree that America is ill-suited to making RPGs that are to your liking -- a fact that is of little relevance to anyone but you.

I saw the screens of The Quest and I almost fell over - looks exactly like the beloved Daggerfall I used to play when I was a teenager! Looks awesome and can't wait to play it.

by the way, Daggerfall has just been released for free by Bethesda. You can play it on Dosbox they say, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

    :)

I found The Quest free version so am trying it out. Graphics are unfortunately pixelated to the extreme, but the gameplay so far seems spot on! Definitely enjoying it and will compare to undercroft when it comes out and pick the best one.

    5,000,000 hours

I actually agree. I played Quest for a while and if you're like me and don't really zoom straight from quest to quest with the greatest efficiency, it takes about 5,000,000 hours plus or minus one or two.

Well, Undercroft is out. As I said above everybody who likes WRPGs should try it.

I don't think there is. Legion of Amon is coming at some point, but that's probably more Diablo-style, too.
