Does anyone know if Apple will likely ever increase the 148 app limit on the iphone or at least why they capped it there? I hate having to uninstall apps all the time and would be happier to have them all reside on my phone.
probably, but I have a question to those running 3.0: when you search in spotlight, do the 10th page apps show up?
Ha,, you're not the only one. Constantly deleting apps and now I don't think I can delete anymore (grr..). Hope Apple does increase it because it's starting to get on my nerves.
you are seriously telling me that you use 148 apps enough to keep them on your iphone/touch....im sure you maybe use half of them maybe a bit more.....i was like you at one point i had i think 8 pages then realized that i only used maybe 4 pages so i cleared out everything i didnt use anymore yes it ws hard parting with all those apps but i had to do it to clear up space...and now im happy i did it..
Since when? I see an april fools coming. Heehee. I have 148 posts. Must make more so I can say I have posted more than the amount of apps that can be held on the springboard!! (Kinda fitting for this thread too)
Macrumors posted about 11 pages, and they don't do April fools so it should be legitimate. As others have said: > 9 pages = way to many you aren't using.
A little advantage, but no solution. Why doesn't Apple introduce a normal folder hierarchy? And to the one saying above that the restriction is due to stability: Is this an assumption or a proven fact? I don't see why installed apps (not running ones) do any harm to the stability. And to the one who said that we should delete all the not so often used apps: This means losing all the saved games and highscores of the games. So as long as it is not possible to backup and restore single apps deleting is no option.
