I have a desktop PC, which contains all of my iTunes info and such.

For Christmas, I got a new HP laptop. I installed iTunes, connected my iphone dock, authorized my computer, etc. All set...or so I thought.

Under 'applications', there's nothing. I have over 120 apps, and none of them show up. Same thing with all of my purchased music.

So, my question is this...how do I get iTunes to show (on my new laptop) all of my apps and music...the way it does on my desktop?

    Is this even possible?

Plug in your iPod, right click, press transfer purchases.

either do a hard transfer like with an external or firewire, or use itunes home sharing...

...Or log into iTunes and 'Check for available downloads'.

Get the iTunes folder from your old comp and move it to your new one.

    Transfer purchases from your device.

Or do the home sharing thing in iTunes 9

    Copy iTunes folder.

you can either transfer purchases, or copy the itunes folder.

If you have the old PC you can export and import your music library.

For apps - just copy the contents of you Mobile Applications folder - drag all the .ipa files (you can do them all at once) to the library part in iTunes on the new PC and it'll chew through 'em all.

Transfer Purchases will copy your game data to iTunes (as will a full sync if you allow it to and/or have imported your apps already)

that doesn't work, because I have several "apps" that I don't have downloaded on this computer and it tells me I've got them all.

It only gets stuff that you purchased on that system, but haven't downloaded for some reason. (Promo codes do this sometimes - they tell you "has already been used" but when you check for available downloads they start downloading...)

Alright, well I've used the 'transfer from iPod/iPhone' feature in order to transfer what apps I had on my iPhone.

I also took care of the music portion of the transfers as well. i imported, via memory cards thru Windows Media, my entire music catalog, then had iTunes convert to AAC.

Now, the only issue I have is how to get all of my apps, that I didn't have installed on my iPhone but already purchased, to show up in my list of applications.

Anyone have an ideas on how to accomplish that?

Thanks for the help and suggestions!!

If it's not that many, just go redownload them again from itunes on your new computer. It won't charge you again, it will be free.

Or like we suggested before, move your itunes folder from your old computer to your new computer, they are in there.
